You knock on the door of your best friend Mena's apartment fuming with a bag in your hand. He opens the door rocking a kiss the chef apron and spatula in hand with his curls on his forehead. "Hey curly fries" You say laughing. "Hey peanut head" Mena says smiling. You take a seat on the couch as he is cooking his lunch. "Cute apron" You say laughing. "Thanks I like to call it a professional want some cookies I baked you some non vegan ones since you texted me what's with the bag" Mena says. " I'll take one thank you I was wondering if I can stay here for the night but I could just stay at Renay's house. "You can stay here you wanna talk about it" Mena says putting together his plate. "Gladly" You say standing up. " I get home after a fine day of working unlock my door and see Chase just making out with some chick home girl tries to explain herself I say honey no need to explain yourself you knew what you was doing I tell her to get on up out of here for she get whooped she grabs her purse and dips out I then proceed to get all my stuff out of the house all of it is in my car and ask Chase I am like why did you cheat on me you won't believe what he said this guy said it was because I spend too much time over here and he thought I was seeing you on the side if you don't get out of here with that foolishness" You say and take a bite of your cookie. "I mean who can blame him I mean look at me but I think he should of told you how he felt about us being friends instead of going out trying to make you jealous or whatever now he's ruined the entire relationship so what are you going to do now" Mena says sitting next to you. "Well I have enough money to get my own little place so I'll probably just do that" You say smiling. "Cool" Mena says. "So what did you make for lunch" You say looking at his plate. "A thai salad you know out all of my friends your like one of the main ones that is cool with me being vegan a lot of them are like oh my god how can you do that" Mena says smiling. "Yeah and your one of my only friends that can cook good" You say smiling.
Later that night...
Mena is flipping through channels as you are fast asleep. " It's time to hit the hay" Mena says. He gets off the couch as stretches and he picks you up and lays in his bed and puts the cover over you he then grabs a blanket and pillow from his closet and sleeps on the couch. Around 2 in the morning he hears you coughing real bad. "Y/n y/n wake up do you need some water" Mena says to you. "Just my inhaler" You say coughing. You take it and feel better. "I was about to get my stethoscope out" Mena says you laugh. You remember Mena was in the medical field before he switched over to acting in college. "Well thanks Mena and again I won't stay to long by tomorrow night I'll be at Renay's. "I guess I better say this now then" Mena says taking a deep breath. "Say what" You say curiously. "That I like you I've liked you since we became in friends in high school but anytime I worked up the courage to ask you out you were either with someone else or getting over a break up" Mena says. "Well Mena I am out of a relationship now and I would love to date you" You say smiling. "Seriously" Mena says grinning. "Seriously" You say smiling. The next day you looked at apartments and finally settled on one and in a few days you began to move in. "This is the last box babe you need any help hanging up stuff or you got it"Mena says setting the box down. "I got it thanks for helping and for everything" You say smiling and kiss him. As he leaves you take a seat on the couch. Who knew the one guy you knew for a good amount of time would be the one for you and even if things didn't work out you guys would have each others backs for life.
