Episode 16: B l o o d y  W i n g s

V's screams echoed around the dark cell followed by loud gasps for air. Abaddon's thick atmosphere made it impossible to breathe.

"Did you enjoy that? I did. Over time, it kind of starts feeling like a warm bath."

V's skin slowly began to heal itself again as the floor turned back into rigid hot stone and the lava disappeared. His head weakly shook with disbelief, still feeling the burn of Hell's molten fire flowing through his body.

"Oh, brother! It's so good to see you again."

V gasped, snapping his head up at Jimin who was still tied to the chains in the dark cell. "Where am I..." he glanced around, tugging at his own chains binding his arms up.

"Welcome back!" Jimin sighed with enthusiasm and slipped out a small giggle. "It's hell."

"No..." V gulped down on a dry mouth, shaking his head. "You..You can't be Jimin. You're not dead anymore."

Jimin frowned and rolled his eyes. "Well, if I'm not Jimin, then who the fuck am I? Brother."

"You...You came back to life. No!" V shut his eyes. "None of this is real. You're not real."

"Oh?"

A few moments of silence passed.

"You know, if you shut your eyes any tighter, I still won't vanish."

V opened his eyes again, looking back at Jimin with surprise as if he has expected this all to be a figment of his imagination. "Get out of my head. I know this is a dream!"

"Is it?" Jimin's smile dropped as his heterochromatic eyes stared back at V with spite. "I can't believe you even think you have the right to talk to me like this. After killing me? You must have not experienced enough pain yet. What about it? A second round of a good hot bath? Do you want to see what you've put me through all this time?"

"No!" V pleaded, breaking out in a frightened sweat. He still hadn't forgotten how much it pained to feel hell's molten seeping to his bones. Just thinking about it brought back pain and fear pounding in his chest.

"Aw, I think we should! How about it?!" Jimin enthusiastically cheered. "Maybe it'll allow us to bond some more. You know, they say those who suffer together stay together."

"Get me out!" V demanded.

"I can't." Jimin sighed.

"What...what do you mean. What the hell is this place?! Why are you doing this to me!"

"You fool!" His chains angrily rattled. "The only one who can get us out is you!"

"What?" V scrunched his brows up, none of it making sense to him.

"The least you can do for killing me is free me. Or did you just want to get out of here alone?"

"You're not dead anymore. I won't be guilted into this."

"Are you sure about that?" Jimin's tone brought back doubt to V. "Are you truly sure that the Jimin next to you right now is really Jimin?"

V's loud gasp startled Jimin who sat beside his trembling body. "Brother? Brother!"

His eyes flashed open and his mouth shut tight as V's whole face turned pale and his eyes grew large with terror. Jimin persistently shook him out of the daze, calling out his name until his brother noticed him.
