Today's the day! Today I'm telling Jeremiah Falcons my feelings. As I was thinking of how to confess I didn't notice my best friend Jose Martinez come up behind me until he hugged me from my shoulders. I turn around and look up at him and smile. Jose is tall, 6'5 and sometimes looking up at him makes my neck hurt. Since I am 5'2.

He's pretty cute with his dark brown hair and pure dark brown eyes. He has tan skin that has full fledge Dominican color. But he's my best friend and I love him as a sister would to her brother. I'm Puerto rican. My mom says I look like my dad from head to toe. Same black hair with crystal blue eyes same milk white skin and even the birth mark next to my lips.

"Hey Sol! Brought you back from lala land finally?"
I roll my eyes at my goofy best friend. I call Jose Mar while he calls me Sol. It's our nicknames for each other since the 3rd grade. We were doing an art project and we both got assigned to be partners. We decided to draw the sun setting on the ocean. And I drew the sun and he drew the Ocean. Since then I've been sol and Jose has been mar.
"Jose, I've decided today is the day!"
I swear I saw sadness wash through Jose's eyes but soon he looks back at me and I see his normal warm eyes.

"That's great sol!"
"Gracias mar!"
I hug Jose and he wraps his big ass arms around me. He's like my giant teddy bear. Jose knows me better than anyone and vice versa. I don't know what I would do without my best friend.

It's after school and I am waiting next to Jeremiah's car until he comes. If your wondering how I know him it's because we've talked to each other since we were 16 and I've been in love with him for 2 years. Jose is standing next to me telling me when Jeremiah is coming. Ok Carmen you can do this! Just come out and say to him 'I like you.' Not that hard right?!?!
"Sol he's coming you can do this!"
Jose tells me and runs to his car across the parking lot.

I see Jeremiah come to his car and I freeze up. Oh no! Really Carmen you had to do this shit now! Deep breaths.
"Um, Carmen you good?"
I look and see Jeremiah looking down at me weirdly.
I start looking up and down and side to side like an insane person!!!! Then I just yell it out.
"I LIKE YOU!!!"
He stares at me wide eyed then next thing I know his lips are on mine. Soon he lets me go. And whisper to me an 'so do I' and I smile.
Ever since then me and Jeremiah Falcons have been dating. If only I knew the consequences I never would have done what I did.
