Chapter 40: All About Us

* Kennedy's POV *

I walked out on the back patio where Kendrick had set up a beautiful candlelight dinner. He stood there with a rose in his hand passing it over to me. I smiled while he grabbed my hand, walking me over to my chair.

Kennedy: This so sweet.

Kendrick: Anything for you.

He sat down.

Kennedy: What's all this for?

Kendrick: You deserve it.

He said smiling at me & placing some food in his mouth.

Kennedy: Kendrick, the other day when you seen "Spongebob" made me realize maybe we moved too fast.

Kendrick: No we didn't.

Kennedy: Kendrick...

He cut off my words shaking his head.

Kendrick: We didn't Kennedy damn. It's exactly how it's suppose to be baby.

He stood up & made his way over by me rubbing on my stomach.

Kendrick: Maybe it's fast, but it's how it's suppose to be. I ain't worried about nothing, but us.

He leaned his head up for a kiss. I laughed.

Kennedy: Okay "Gap".

Kendrick: Don't get started now.

Kennedy: You need some braces.

Kendrick: Catch...

He said laughing throwing a tic-tac my way. I threw the bread across the table. We laughed some more & he placed his hand onto mines.

Kendrick: You know I love you.

Kennedy: I love you too.

We stood up leaning across the table for a kiss. Maybe Kendrick was right, it was fast but exactly meant to be.
