JAMEELA'S POV
I lay on my bed facing the wall and look at the luminous pasted stickers in different shapes. It reminds me of one of the many moments I spent with my sister. I miss them. I wish that we could go back in time. But the truth is we can't. Sometimes the truth hurts but I guess we have to accept it whether we want or not. I glance at the digital clock on the table beside my bed. It's been an hour since they began. The shouts. The fights. What happened to the happy and peaceful family we once were? My sister is suffering from depression and my parents have been having frequent fights. I can even hear them from the living room. Damn the thin walls. I turn my head to the left side unsucessfully blocking the sound out. I wish that I could have my sister back now. All because of that arrogant bastard. Screw you Dylan Teme. I close my eyes and hopefully would get some sleep tonight.
The clock's continuous beeping wakes me up to a brand new day. Damn. It's school already. I rush to the toliet and grt ready. I put on a pair of jeans and grab a shirt. I walk down the stairs and see my parents at the dining table. They both look up and smile It is times like this that makes me feel as if they are made for each other. The recongnition stops there, my Dad goes back to his newspaper and my mom continues to make coffee for him.
I grab a canola bar and walk towards the door. My mom's voice stops me, "Going already? School doesn't start till the next hour, dear. I am making some bacons and eggs for breadfast." she looks at me. Damn. "Nah. I need to go to school early today."I lie. I want to go to school early to escape the clutches of the seniors. Most just leave me alone but there have been some theat has been picking on me lately. My Mom just smiles and replys,"Ok then. See you later, have fun!" How can school ever be fun? That's it. I am buying a dictionary for her. She needs to look up the definition of Fun.
I am not in the mood to argue so I put on the best smile I can manage and leave. I take a breathe in and tell myself that. This is gonna be a hell of a day. I just know it.
