What Lies Behind The Forest

Prologue

   Sit down little ones, this is a story told by many before us. About the monsters and the humans, that went into war. Except, this is a story that nobody but us knows about.

   Long ago, Monsters and Humans ruled the land. One day, both races started a war. The humans were victorious and banished the monsters down into the underground. Yet while the war was happening, creatures with forms of a human and appearances like a monster had escaped the battle field. They ran off into the woods and hid, sealing themselves away from the Humans as so that they would not be killed. People assumed they were banished along with the Monsters or they had just disappeared into thin air.

   They were what people called a Hybrid, a mix of man and monster. Some Monsters and Humans had children of their own, creating wonderful hybrids with unique magic and capabilities. They were stronger than the magic combined of a Human and a Monster's magic capabilities. Thus, Humans and Monsters were jealous that they were stronger.

   Yes, Hybrids may be stronger than combined of a Human and a Monster, but they will only unlock their full potential when they are a young adult or a full grown adult. Their young were much more easier to target as they tend to roam around often, which made a great target for both Monsters and Humans. Killing them would give a huge amount of EXP and can easily give much points for one's LOVE. Hybrids were scared of both races for that and tend to hide away, both themselves and their young.

   The war gave them a chance to run away and start a new life of their own; without Humans Nor Monsters. Those who were Monsters and Humans that ran away with them were parents of some Hybrids, So the others weren't afraid of them. Each Hybrid have a unique soul and smell that others could recognise easily.

   That was until a new comer had appeared before their forest, accidentally stumbling upon their territory. Making themselves a threat to the Hybrids around them. This is where The Tale of Hybrids had just begun.
