Emma ran inside Adam's room and said.
"Adam get up."
"OK, I'll be down in a sec." It was 8.45 a.m on a Sunday morning. Adam got up and went to the shower. As he was walking towards the shower, he felt very happy and couldn't stop smiling. He was thinking about the epic conversation he had had with Lily. After his shower he decided to wear a grey t-shirt and jeans. He went down the steps quickly and lightly,
"Morning, everyone." He said as he got into the kitchen. He was very energetic.
"Morning." His mother answered. She was confused as to how upbeat Adam was because Adam is not a morning person and would usually get up as late as possible. He poured himself a hot cup of coffee. He sat down at the dining table and grabbed a few pancakes. Soon after, Lily walked in and she was rubbing her eyes.
"Morning." She said while yawning.
"Morning." Adam said.
Lily sat down beside Zoe.

"Ooh pancakes. I'm starving." She got herself a few pancakes. The pancakes looked delicious, they were very light and fluffy.
"Would you like some orange juice?" Lucy asked.
"Yes please."
"Can I have some too, please?" Adam asked.
"OK. I'll get it for you right now."
Lucy placed the juice on the table.
"Thank you." They both said at the same time.
"Do you have any plans today?" Zoe asked.
"Yeah, I'm going to go home, go to Church and maybe go out with some friends."
"You're going to Church?" Lucy asked.
"Yeah, my Dad was Catholic."
"No, I mean you can come with us."
"Oh, I don't know."
"You should come." Adam said.
"OK, I think I should go home and take a shower. Thank you so much for letting me stay here, I really appreciate it."
"You're Welcome."
Lily stood up and walked towards the door. Lucy followed her so she could open the door for her.
"Bye."
"Good-bye Lily, it was nice meeting you."
Lily walked down the wet pavement, it had stopped raining. She didn't realize that she had forgotten to get her work uniform back. It was a fifteen minute walk home to her apartment. When she got home, she realized that the key to her apartment was in her uniform pocket which was at the Parkers' house. She knocked on the door hoping that Rachel would be there.
Rachel opened the door, and said
"Lily it's so good to see you alive." Rachel said, she was so relieved. She hugged Lily tightly.
"Hi, it's good to see you too."
"Right, I need to take a shower and get ready for the day." Lily said.
The apartment was pretty standard, there were two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living room and a kitchen. The apartment was small. When you walk in, you can see the white kitchen counter, (on your left) next to a grey stove. The fridge was at the corner of the kitchen. There was a small dining area between the kitchen and living area. The dining table was wooden and had four wooden chairs accompanying it. The living area was opposite the apartment, there was green couch with a white wooden coffee lounge in front of it.There was a thirty-five inch T.V in front of the coffee table resting on a smaller table which was made out of wood.
Lily stepped inside the shower, then she turned the shower on. As she was getting cleaned Rachel called out.
"Hey, I am going to head out and get coffee with Derek."
"OK, have fun."
Lily stepped out of the shower, she dried herself and put on a gray tank top, with a white open blouse. She put on black jeans. She tied her hair into a neat ponytail then she looked into the mirror to put on necklace with a pink love heart. It was 10.30 a.m. She cycled back to the Parkers' house so she could get her uniform and her keys back. While she was cycling on her blue bike, she noticed the birds chirping and how beautiful nature was. The grass was green. She noticed that there were no clouds in the sky so she told herself that today was going to be a good day. She finally arrived at the house. She walked over to the porch and rang the doorbell. Adam answered the door.
"Hey, you're quite early, Mass doesn't start until twelve."
"I know I just needed to get my work uniform and my keys."
"Oh OK, come on in."
"I forgot to get my clothes this morning, I'm really sorry for the inconvenience."
"It's fine, I'll just get your clothes, my mom probably found them in your room and put them away somewhere. I'll go ask her now. You can have a seat in the living room if you want to."
"It's OK, I'll just wait out here."
She stood there, waiting in the hallway until Emma walked over and said.
"Oh, hey are you here to get your stuff that you left in your room?" she asked politely.
"Yes, Adam is getting them now."
"I think he likes you."
"What? Really? What makes you think that?"
"Well, this morning he woke up early. Which is weird because he never wakes up early. And when you came home, he told me about your talk which felt like it could last forever. AND he told us that you are very pretty and you have beautiful brown eyes." she said in her fairytale, dreamy like voice. Lily blushed and was speechless. She didn't know if this was all true, except for the part when he told her about our talk. She thought that they just had a normal conversation, she didn't think of him in a romantic way at all.
"Well, do you like him?" Emma asked, she sounded very eager.
"Um, I don't know. I never really thought of him like that. And we just met yesterday so there's not much to say."
"Oh..." Emma sounded disappointed.
They didn't know that Adam was listening to the entire conversation. He felt a little down. He really felt that they had a connection from the minute they met.
Lucy walked down the staircase and handed Lily her uniform with the keys on top.
"Here you go, dear."
"Thank you so much."
"You should stay until Mass, so you don't have to keep coming back and forth."
"It's OK, I might just go home and be alone for a while." Lily thought that it would be awkward to talk to Adam since she knows what she knows.
"Well, can you give us your address so we can pick you up."
"Yeah, sure I'll write it down."
She wrote the address down and she also wrote her phone number just in case.
"OK, I'll give you our number just in case." she said politely.
She then stepped outside. She put all of her stuff in the front basket of her bicycle and cycled home. When she got home. She sat on the couch and thought.
This is crazy, I've known him less than twenty-four hours ago. Should I see him again? What should I do?
Later, Rachel opened the door and came in. She noticed that Lily looked a bit down and confused.
"Hey." Lily said lazily
"What's wrong?"
"I'm just a bit confused."
"Tell me what happened."
"Well yesterday, while I was staying over at the Parkers' I met a guy. And we talked last night for, like, an hour."
"And?"
"Well, when I came back over this morning, his sister told me that she thinks he has a crush on me. I mean this is insane right? We just met yesterday."
"I don't know, is he cute? How old is he?"
"He's nineteen." Ignoring the question that Rachel had asked her previously.
"Ooh, you're the same age as him. But, is he cute?"
"I don't know, I don't want to think about it. Can we talk about something else?"
"OK, fine. --"
KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!
Somebody knocked on the door.
Lily got up and opened the door. Zoe was there.
"Hi, are you ready to go?" she asked.
"Yeah, let's go."
Lily closed the door behind her and went down the elevator.
