Hannah's Point Of View⭐

About 4 months of Syd still not coming back to 2019-2020, I had completely given up.
I had no way of ever seeing him again, and he had probably moved on by then.

So that's when I met Brooks.
Brooks was so much different than Syd.

He obviously wasn't British, and plus, he was a surfer, and he would often do these "exercises" in the living room with his shirt off, where he would act like he was surfing.

And after he walked in on Syd...touching me, he remained calm.

So, here we were, all three of us standing in the living room.
Syd had told Brooks that he didn't have a place to stay.

"Uh....why don't you stay here?" Brooks asked Syd.

"Erm, uh..." is all he said as his eyes drifted towards me.

"All I wanna know is how you know Hannah."

Syd looked at me, expecting me to answer.

"Uh, he's my...." I started, but drifted off in speech.

"What's wrong with you two? Lemme guess, he's your ex?" he asked me.

I just stayed silent, but shot him a look that said yes.

"Okay, I feel bad for you, man. You can stay here as long as you don't touch Hannah...like you we're when I walked in." he told Syd.

Syd nodded in agreement.
I let out a tiny sarcastic laugh.

They both looked at me in confusion.

"Oh, uh, don't mind me." I told them.

They both still stared at me.
Brooks eventually looked away, but Syd continued to look at me, as if he was trying to read me.

He blew me a kiss quietly, and then he winked at me.
And he was doing this all while Brooks was still in the room!

Luckily Brooks had been looking down at the ground for a moment while Syd quickly did this.

"I'm gonna go get a drink, want one?" Brooks asked me and Syd.

"God, yes." I said at the same time as Syd said "No."

Brooks somehow understood both of us, and went to get the drinks.

I knew that if I talked out loud, Brooks would be able to hear me, so I just mouthed what I was saying to Syd.

"What do you think you're doing?" I mouthed to him.

He just looked at me in confusion.

Brooks came back with the drinks sooner than expected, and then he sat down on the couch.

He proceeded to take out a joint, and lit it.
You have GOT to be kidding me.

"Uh, Brooks, wh-" I started.

"Oh, I'm sorry, did you guys want some?" he asked us.
