My alarm clock rang at 8 a.m, loud enough to wake both me and my brother, who was sleeping soundly in the room right beside mine.
I groaned loudly as I dragged myself across the hardwood floor and got dressed for school. I quickly wore one of my brother's shirt, that was extremely large for me, and some denim shorts and tucked the shirt into my shorts. I did not bother to do a thing with my light brown hair that was in beach waves and fell to my waist.
Looking at myself once again in the full length mirror, I flopped down the stairs and sat on one of the wooden stools around the kitchen island and started to munch on my breakfast quietly.
"Blue, you really need to change your alarm clock. Because of you I have to wake up at the crack of the dawn everyday." my brother, Ross, scolded me, as he plopped onto the stool next to me.
"Seriously dude? Your alarm is set, like, 10 minutes after mine. Don't make a big fuss over everything." I snapped.
Just when he was about to retort, "Stop fighting you two! I need to get to work and y'all get going to school!" my mother interfered.
My mum was a doctor while my dad was a businessman. They both had jobs that required them to be away from home a lot; not that I was complaining though. My dad was currently away on a business trip to Sweden and my mum usually leaves the house at the same time as Ross and I do in the morning and would be usually back when we are fast asleep.
Scoffing, I grabbed my car keys and went out of my house, yelling a quick goodbye to my mother.
My brother and I do not drive to school together because you see, he's the part of the popular gang. He's in freshman year while i'm a sophomore and yet he is way more popular. So we don't acknowledge each other at school, because it would 'taint his reputation'; not that that bothers me though.
When I reached school, I threw my backpack into my locker and only grabbed my calculus books and started to head to my first class.
I arrived early and started to walk to the back of the classroom where my best friends, Beth and Jessica, is seated. And as usual Beth is copying Jessica's homework as she is 'too busy for this shit'. I plopped onto the seat beside them as Jessica chirped "Hi!" while Beth was too busy to even acknowledge me. I feel the love.
"Did you see Joseph? He should be here by now." I asked anxiously when I noticed he's not here yet and he's usually early to his classes.
Joseph Wattson, I kind of have a tiny crush on him. He joined our school at the beginning of the year but quickly rose to fame because of his honey blond hair and dreamy blue eyes. He even got himself a girlfriend before I even thought of making a move on him.
He was the only guy I liked after the incident with Ricky.
That just brought back so many memories. They haunt me every minute of the day, sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night, panting, maybe that was why my mother forces me to see a therapist at least twice a month.
''Hello?'' Jessica asked, looking worried.
I came back to reality and quickly whispered a sorry.
They probably understood what happened. Jessica and Beth are the only people apart from my therapist who know what happened with me and Ricky.
Jessica awkwradly placed her right hand on my back and said ''Do you want to talk about it?''
I straightened up immediately and put on a realistic smile on my face when I realized I made the whole conversation gloomy.
''Hey guys, where's Joseph?'' I asked, trying to make the mood better.
Jessica cracked a smile and just when she opened her mouth to respond, Beth intervened.
