So after my family left the room, it took them a while to come back and take me home. Then after waiting for what seemed like forever, then they finally came back. "OK you are allowed to leave." My mom said happily.
"Good, because I don't want to be here anymore." I relied as my brother Nick helped me out of the bed. (Since I only had one good arm at the moment.) Then we walked out of the room, but when we did, we bumped into Vlad's family. Who happened to be also taking Vlad home. Seeing them made me scared because one, Vlad's dad scares me and two, my dad and Vlad's were giving each other nasty looks and looked like they were about to have a brawl go down. But before they could say anything to each other or do anything, my mom stepped in between them and said, "If you two are going to do anything, do it outside."
Once she said this, Vlad's dad and brothers turned around and walked away, and Vlad followed behind them and looked back at me and my family with very confused look on his face. As Vlad's family walked away, my family gave them all nasty looks and then started to walk in the same direction as Vlad's family. Once both my family and Vlad's were out by the front desk of then hospital, we then all said good day to the nurses at the desk and then walked out of the hospital. Where all of the real drama went down. The very moment we got outside both my dad and Vlad's dad, started to yell at each other and get into each other’s faces.
While this was going on, my older brothers and Vlad's older brothers also started to do the same thing. Although my brothers outnumbered his while this went on I just stood there with my mom and watched all of this go down, wondering about the reason why my family didn't like Vlad's and why Vlad's family didn't like mine. Also I noticed that Vlad had noticed this too, and didn't look to happy about it either. As this went on, my little brother Michael came over to me and said, "Wow I knew that dad and our older brothers hat our neighbors across the street from us, but I didn't know that they didn't like them this much."
"Yeah, I know what you mean, this is out of control." Once I said this, Vlad turned his head and looked at me and said telepathically, "I agree, this is too much." Once he said that I knew he had been listening in on me and my little brother. Then Vlad added, "Your family is scary, I knew you had brothers, but I didn't know that you had six of them."
"Yeah, well five of them are older, one of them is younger than me." I said back telepathically. When I said this, Vlad's eyes got really wide, and then he said, "I thought you were the youngest, all of your siblings are tall!"
"Yeah, I know, the one standing next to me that isn't fighting is in sixth grade." I said back telepathically. This shocked Vlad even more, "Sixth grade!? Whoa, he's tall!" Vlad replied back.
"Yeah I know." I said, then after that Kiku came marching out of the hospital and yelled, "THAT'S ENOUGH! I get that you don't like each other, but please not in front of my hospital. Please go home now!." Then once he knew that Vlad's dad and mine wouldn't start fighting again, he went back into the hospital. "You know what? He's right let's go home." My dad said as he eyed Vlad's father and then turned around dragging my brothers along with him. As he did this, Vlad's dad said, "Fine, but when we get to our neighborhood, we'll finish this." And then turned to go the opposite direction. When he did that, my dad turned back around and yelled, "Fine!"
Then he turned back around and started to walk in the direction of our car. Then once in the car, my brother Michael asked my dad, "Dad, is there another reason why you don't like our neighbors from across the street?" For a moment the car became silent then my dad took in a huge breath and said, "Yes, son, there is."
"Really?" My older brother Justin replied.
"Yes." My dad replied back.
"What is it?" My brother Rhett replied.
"Well you see kids, Dmitri and I have known each other since we were in high school. In a matter of fact we used to be really good friends too." Once he said that, the car became silent for a long time, and I mean a very long time. Until my brother Michael said, "So why are you not friends now? I mean I get that he's part of the darkness faction, but that didn't seem to bother you two back then." Honestly when my brother said that, I think all of my older brothers and I had to agree with him on that. Also when he had said that, it took my dad a while to respond. "Ah... well... You see son, hard enough to believe, Dmitri wasn't originally a part of the darkness faction. He belonged in the earth tribe."
Once my dad said that, I think everybody in the car had the same shocked reaction that I did, which was my mouth hanging wide open. Also it got very quiet again until... "Whoa, that's.... Whoa." replied my brother Nick.
"Yeah... I know shocking, but honestly he used to be a really nice guy. Then that all kind of changed a bit when we got to college. He started to act weird and did things secretly all the time, also he never seemed to be interested in what was going on around us. I guess I should have figured that he was going to the dark side."
"Wow, this is interesting. Hang on, you two went to the same college?" My brother Sean said.
"Yep, we were even roommates, but like I said, he started to act different." Once he said that the car got quiet again for a long time, then when we were almost home, Michael replied, "So why do you hate each other now?"
"Well when Dmitri and his family moved in a few years ago, I went to welcome him into the neighborhood, but then stopped when I saw darkness faction members helping out with moving things into their house. Not only that but I felt like my best friend had betrayed me. Also before I went to go back to our house, someone that was helping out with the moving in, attacked me and Dmitri didn't do a thing about it. He just stood and watched as I got attacked. That's why I don't like him, he betrayed me and also he never ever talked to me after we graduated from college."
After my dad said that, the car was silent for the rest of the trip home. Once we got home, I noticed that Vlad's dad was waiting outside their house for us to come home. Then, once we had gotten into the drive way and the car was parked, my mom hurried all of my siblings and I into the house as my dad crossed the street to confront Vlad's father. "Mom, is dad going to be OK?" I replied as I looked outside from the house window to see what was going on. "Yes sweetie he's going to be OK. Also it would be best to not watch, because this might get very ugly." replied my mom.
"Oh OK, mom?"
"Yes sweetie?"
"Can I call Chrissie? I want to tell her about what happened yesterday after school."
"Sure go ahead." replied my mom. So I grabbed the house phone with my good arm and then said thanks to my mom and then walked down to my room so that I could talk to Chrissie in private.
