Coffee shop

"Get up you lazy butt!" Hazel said jokingly while slamming a pillow on Nico repeatedly. "No-o," he groaned and turned away.

"The party is tonight! Be glad Percy is on student council with Reyna! Now get up, were going shopping." Hazel pulled Nico by his arms out of bed while he made protests. "I made you breakfast so hurry before it gets cold," she closed the door and went down the stairs.

Nico was in no mood to go to the mall because a) lack of sleep and b) seeing that annoying boy again. However, he got dressed anyway and met Hazel for bacon and eggs.

Hazel was glaring at him, "what?" Nico asked. "Eat the food. " Hazel pointed to his plate. "But I'm full," Nico protested. Hazel didn't loose the look until he finished the plate and she smiled triumphantly.

"Percy and Frank are already by Nordstrom so we will meet there and I will shop with you," Hazel went over their plans and they both agreed as they walked to the mall that was only a mile or so from their shared apartment loft. Percy and Frank lived a few floors below them so they were always together.

"I need coffee," Nico groaned.

"I told you to limit the coffee!" Hazel scolded. "But haaazel," he sounded exasperated. Hazel finally have in, "fine. There is a Starbucks right by Nordstrom so we can go there."

Hazel and Nico walked a few more blocks and Nico was already sweating. "I always tell you not to wear that jacket because it's eighty degrees but nooo, you have to look cool and mysterious," Hazel rebuked him.

"I'm not trying to look mysterious," Nico said defensively. Hazel laughed,"yeah you are."

He groaned at her when they walked into the mall. "Where is it?" Nico looked around in desperate need of a coffee. Hazel looked both ways before pointing left, "there."

Nico asked Hazel what she wanted then waited in the excruciatingly long line. When it was his turn he almost got stuck in his steps. It was the annoying boy who worked at Hot Topic. Well, used to work. He was rushing orders like he was drinking all the coffee in the store.

"Hurry up did I don't get payed by the hour," an obnoxious voice yelled from behind the counter. "Okay... Octavian," Nico stepped up and started to read hazels order. "I got this octi!" Leo yelled and pushed him out of the way. He slammed into the machine next to him and tried not to flip out on Leo. "What can I get for you, sunshine?" Leo leaned on his elbows. He drummed his fingers on the counter and stared at Nico.

"Don't call me sunshine. Anyway, one cotton candy frap," Nico started. "You want that with extra pink?" Leo giggled but Nico was about to punch him. "For my sister," he continued, "a decaf latte with extra sweetener, chai latte and an extra strong black coffee."

Leo punched in a few numbers and Nico paid after he got '10% off for smiling' even though he did nothing of the sort. "Black coffee for you?" Leo asked while tossing cups everywhere. "Yeah," Nico got away from the register to wait for his drinks. Nico watched as Leo managed to make all four at once. It's like the machines were responding to him.

"Here you go!" Leo smiled and handed the tray over to him. "Thanks... Leo," Nico got even more sugar for percy and an extra straw because Hazel insisted on tasting everyone's drinks.

"Let's go," Hazel plucked her cotton candy frap from the tray. She started chucking but covered it up as a cough. "You want some Nicky?" She held out the pink drink. "No, it's too sweet," he grimaced.

"Sweet! They brought us coffee!" Nico watched as percy ran up and grabbed his decaf latte. They never told him it was decaf because he would be mad of he found out. Nico always got lost in Percy's sea great eyes but how couldn't he? They were beautiful.

They went over to sit on the side of a fountain and talked. "So band practice will start at two," Hazel announced.

"Five," percy interjected.

"Three," Hazel came back.

"Four," Nico yelled.

"Still three," Hazel continued, "and the party is at six so we have time to get ready. Percy and Frank, you go do your thing and we do ours. Look presentable!"

Percy high fived Frank and they went over to Macy's. "No, percy!" Hazel yelled when percy put on a bra. He put it down and made a sad face.

"I'm going to regret letting him go without me. But whatever." She walked with Nico to Nordstrom and started going through outfits. "These two are perfect!" Hazel heller up one shirt that was made of leather in the front and another that was lilac and made of silk. She tossed them into the cart and kept on going.

Nico finally took a sip on his coffee and was confused. Was that... vanilla? He looked at the cup and read the little holder:

'you need some sweetening up! Also you smell like vanilla so I thought you would like it -Leo'

Nico blushed and went over to Hazel. "Do I smell like vanilla?" He asked and Hazel turned while holding a dress. "You read the cup?" Hazel giggled. "You knew." Nico glared at her while sipping his coffee. "I think it's sweet. The smell and that Leo guy," she put the dress back onto the rack. "You know that's creepy right? He smelled me and that's really creepy," Nico shook his head. "Let's go try these on!" She pushed Nico into the nearest dressing room.
