Chapter 1 : intro

I never really understood what people meant when they said "they're lost" but knew exactly where they were, until now.

One month ago both of my parents had past away. My mother was sick with stage three cancer; therefore, she couldn't be saved. My father on the other hand had committed suicide because he could not live without the love of his life. How romantic. Meanwhile he hadn't thought of us, my five year old brother, Chase, went to live with my aunt. I got stuck with my eighteen year old sister who is never home, but at college with her boyfriend of two years.

The sound of my alarm clock woke me up. It was the fourth of June, the day of my parents funeral. Maybe barring them might help everyone move on. My sister, Autumn, rudely rushed in my room like I couldn't hear her knock and yell at me to get up. "Rose, hurry up and get out of bed we're going to be late!" We got to the cemetery, everyone was in black, covered in tears, and tissues everywhere. Before putting them six feet under, they asked Autumn to speak. With soft words she spoke:"We never know when death is going to take the life of a loved one. But when he does, we know God has a bigger plan for them. My parents, you're siblings, friends will all be missed. But instead of morning their death , let's celebrate their lives. Thanks." by the time she was done, everyone was in tears and ready to go get a bite to eat to talk about "old times."

The whole time everyone was talking I was day dreaming. I dreamed that my mom and dad was still alive and we were back in the old house. We were sitting at the kitchen table talking about "my future" and what I was going to do with my life. I miss the nagging and them pushing me to do what I love cause I'm to scared to do it. My wonderful dream was ruined by my aunt trying to make an unwanted conversation. "Rose, come and say with me and your brother for awhile. I don't want you to be in that big house all by yourself." As my aunt said this, she was also giving my sister's boyfriend, Josh, a dirty stare as she didn't approve. "Thanks for the offer aunt Jes, but I'll have to take a rain check. My friends and me are having a sleep over to cheer me up." She was surprised that I was going out and trying to have a life, but like Autumn

said, we should celebrate their life not morn their deaths right?

Chapter 2 : The sleepover

The sleepover was my friend, Maria's idea. She said I needed some cheering up and she had just the trick. Maria and I have been best friends since the seventh grade so I trusted her. Maria is a "see the glass half full" type person, long auburn hair with green big eyes. Defiantly unique. Also invited was Anna, Liz, and Maddie. All part of the best friend circle. Anna is insecure but beautiful. Blonde with blue eyes and tall. Liz is short with brown hair and brown eyes with tan skin. She also has the best laugh ever! Last but not least is Maddie. She dyed her hair so many times I have no clue what her natural color is. Right now it's black and she has brown eyes plus very tall.

I went straight home and packed my clothes. I showed up in my pajamas since it was already nine o'clock and I didn't feel like changing later. Anna opened the door of Maria's house. She looked happy to see me, to happy. She dragged me in the house and we went straight to the living room. "Hey guys look who I found outside!" They were in the middle of playing a dance game for the wii. It was between Liz and Maddie. "Hey, I'm wheres Maria?" As soon as the words flew out of my mouth she came running down the stairs and body slammed me into the couch. "Hey slut, yanoo you're late right?" The way she said it made me want to die laughing. "I had to stop at home and pack, unless you wanted me strutting around in my birthdaysuit?" Everyone let out a good laugh and said it would have been priceless but gross.

After Liz beat Maddie, Anna, Maria, and I decided to do some karaoke. We forced Anna actually. Maria picked forever and always by Taylor Swift. In a matter of seconds I was already in a better mood.
