Sir Pentious had been feeling down lately. He didn't know what it was, but then again, did anyone ever know why they were upset? He found the concept of emotions fascinating. Pentious would study them later. For no, however, he slithered down the streets of Hell, letting his eyes dart curiously around at the buildings. He had to admit he wasn't a fan of Hell's decor. I mean, who would be? Each building was either run down or about to be. Pentious carefully avoided getting to close to their walls. He dusted his tux, rolling his eyes at the foolery these demons have created. Speaking of which, he felt the eyes of one on him. Slowly turning around, Pentious saw Alastor, the radio demon himself, standing only a few feet behind him. Pentious felt himself grow uncomfortable at that, and turned around, continuing down the street with a much faster slither. After a few minutes or so, he turned around only to see the deer had gotten even closer. Before Pentious could turn around, Alastor grabbed and vigorously shook his hand. "A pleasure to see such a dashing demon on these streets! I'm certain you know who I am but introduction is key! Alastor, you?"
Pentious cringed back at the sudden contact, gritting his teeth, but he didn't let go. Making an enemy of such a powerful demon would be foolish.
"Sir Pentious," He forced out the words. Alastor chuckled.
"My my! How nervous you seem." Alastor tilted his head, and let go. His ear flicked and he seemed to be losing himself in whatever he was staring at, which seemed to be Pentious' eyes. Alastor shook himself, peeking up again.
"Ehem... Why've you approached me?" Pentious was now curious, seeing that Alastor didn't seem as horrifying as the rumors foretold. Alastor seemed to have lost his rigid demeanor as his eyes suddenly gave off a nervous glow.
"W-well, ehm. Ahem! I'd like to.. If you don't mind.. Ask you out on a date? Your attire really caught my eye..." Alastor rubbed the back of his neck, his confidence drained.
Pentious was shocked. Not only that someone liked him, but that someone being a feared and respected demon! He felt himself blush, realizing Alastor had called him attractive. Then he nodded.
"Why, yes, yes I'd love to." Pentious smiled, and cautiously held out a hand. Hopefully this wasn't a trick. Alastor took his hand and started to lead Pentious somewhere.
Eventually, Alastor stopped in front of a restaurant. He stopped for a moment, before walking in, still holding the snakes hand.
The restaurant was dimly lit, the only lights ranging from red, orange, and yellow shades. Booth seats sat along the wall while tables covered the main floor. Other demon couples and even a few families ate their dinner and deserts. A small stage could be seen in the corner, which had a band of robot like demons playing classical music. Pentious felt comfortable here, he didn't know why. It just gave off a nice vibe.
Alastor spoke with an employee and she led them to a booth in the corner. It had a window to overlook the parking lot, as well as blinds if anyone felt the need to hide themselves. Alastor and Pentious sat down, and Pentious curiously looked at the sugar packets, before starting to stack them. Alastor looked at him, amused.
"What are you making?" He leaned forward slightly to observe the reptiles creation. Pentious shrugged.
"I couldn't know, but at least it's something, yes?" The snake shrugged and pulled out his menu, which knocked down the little sugar packet tower he made. He wasn't mad, just disappointed.
"Here--" Alastor reached over and started to stack them again, before folding his hands and looking at the tower he'd just made with pride. That made Pentious giggle. He put a hand over his mouth.
"Proud of it, are you?" Pentious smirked, leaning on the table slightly. Alastor blushed in embarrassment as he rubbed his arm. He chuckled nervously.
"Oh-- eheh, yes, I guess i am." The deer stuttered. Pentious tilted his head.
"Oh, did I upset you? I'm sorry." Pentious said sincerely. Alastor shook his head and smiled.
"Oh, oh no it's quite alright!"
Pentious looked doubtful, before looking at his menu. Alastor did the same.
After about five or so minutes, they had decided their orders and now waited for their food.
"Have you eaten here before?" Alastor asked.
"No, I don't go our as much as I used to." Pentious shrugged.
They continued to talk with each other, before their food arrived. After finishing that, Pentious pulled out his wallet to pay, to which Alastor stopped him. "It's quite alright, I can pay."
Without giving him time to argue, Alastor pulled out his wallet and paid for their meal. Alastor then got up and held out a hand. Pentious took it and got up, holding tight onto Alastors hand. Upon leaving the building, Pentious spoke up.
"It's really quote late, my home is nearby." Pentious said, indirectly inviting Alastor to stay.
"I'll walk you home then, so be it." Alastors smile told Pentious he was oblivious. Alastor smiled and kissed the snakes cheek, which made them both blush.
Pentious discovered he might just love this person, a lot.
