anax is a 5 member girl group created by GW Ent. (made up as well) they officially debuted march 15th, 2019 with their debut single, "run for your LiFe." it gained traction and they became a pretty popular rookie girl group.
backstory :
originally, GW Ent. had made a 4 member girl group called Blasè. they debuted in 2015. the group was not successful, many claimed it was because all of the members were underage. they had a cute concept with average sounding songs. nothing really differentiated them from other rookie groups. they gained a pretty small fandom, but most were loyal.
Blasè had comeback once before it was announced that one of the member, Willow (Kwon Eunha) would be taking a hiatus from the group because of a family emergency.
the group came back again with only 3 members. promotion weren't doing well. then, another one of the members, Kim Jiyeon took a hiatus as well. this time was for mental issues.
GW Ent. decided it was best for the entire group to take a hiatus for a year until the other two members were able to come back. the hiatus lasted for 2 years. on november 27, 2018, the company officially announced Blasè's disbandment. however, they also announced that they had been working on a separate girl group that would be debuting in 2019.
but what does this have to do with anax?
3 members within Blasè would be in this new girl group. 2 members would be added.
to get people ready for anax's debut, their company decided to release solo's for all of the members. revealing their positions, their faces, and strong points.
