Meeting Our Idols (a 5 Seconds of Summer Fanfiction) **DISCONTINUED**

Chapter 3

Calum POV

Last week, we got a call from Capital FM saying that their interviewees were inspired by us and they wanted us to show up to their interview. We automatically agreed and searched up the band on Google. We listened to their hit single and we became, literally, obsessed with the band – we followed them all on Twitter, we found out everything about them that we could, and we memorized the few songs they had out.

Fast forward a week later and we were sitting in the station waiting for them to show up. There were loud screams coming from outside the station – they’re here. It was a few minutes before they walked in one by one. The first one who walked in was a girl who had blonde hair; she had a small flower tattoo on her hip where her shirt rode up a bit (I took that to be Jessica). The next one who walked in was a girl who had bright red hair – natural red, not the dyed red (I took that to be Andrea). The next one who walked in was a boy who had black hair. He must be Andrew, I thought to myself. The only guy in the group. The next one to walk in was a girl who looked like Andrew. She had black hair, but she had dyed a few pink streaks in it. She had to be Marge – Andrew’s twin sister. The last person that walked in must have been Martha. She was brunette with freckles all over her face. She had fair skin, big blue eyes, and straight white teeth when she smiled. I couldn’t stop myself from staring at her.

I felt someone nudge me. I looked over at Luke, glaring.

Stop staring at her, he mouthed.

I gave him the ‘fine’ look before looking at Dave and Lisa. They explained what was going to happen – to a point – and told them where to sit. All of them but Martha sat down – the only other seat available was between Luke and I. She came over and sat in between us. She looked like she was trying so hard not to fangirl. I mentally laughed at that – she was so cute.

The interview began.

Lisa: And we are back! We have JAAMM with us here in the studio! We also have the hit pop punk-rockers named 5 Seconds of Summer!

Dave: Yes! Now…Martha, you stated on Twitter, to a follower who asked you who your inspiration was, that your inspiration to become a band were the lads of 5 Seconds of Summer.

Martha: Yes, they are. Us boys looked at each other and ‘aw’ed. All the members of JAAMM blushed. Andrea and I were listening to ‘Social Casualty’ and we just thought ‘Wow. Why don’t we start a band?’ and it just went on from there.

Dave: Andrea, how did you meet Martha?

Andrea: Well, that’s a very funny story, actually. She laughed. Well, um, I had actually bumped into her at the store one day, knocking her over accidentally.

Lisa: Really?

Andrea: Yes! I had helped her up and we started talking. We had a lot in common and we took a chance and exchanged numbers.

Martha: We don’t regret it!

Both Martha and Andrea started laughing quietly. I couldn’t stop staring at Martha - she was just so gorgeous.

Dave: Andrew, dude, how does it feel being the only guy in the group?

Andrew: To be honest….it sucks. He chuckled.

Lisa: How? You’re surrounded by many beautiful women?

I saw the girls blush and quickly thank her.

Andrew: One of them is my twin sister…

Marge: The better looking half.

Everyone chuckled while Andrew stuck his tongue out at her.

Andrew: And the others are like sisters to me.

Dave: There is this rumor on Twitter that you had actually had a crush on Martha…

Andrew: He laughed slightly. Um…yeah…I had. Uh…ya see…what had happened was….Marge had brought Martha over after school one day and, basically, the moment I saw her, I knew that, somehow, she was going to make a big difference in my life. And she did.

Dave: Just not in the way that you thought, huh?

Andrew: No.

Lisa: So, 5SOS, what do you think about being an inspiration to this band?

Michael: It’s awe-inspiring, really.

Luke: Yeah. When we first started this band, we never even thought that someone (or, in this case, two someones) would start their own band because they wanted to be like us or anything. It never crossed our minds.

Ashton: To know that we inspire people is one of the best feelings in the world.

Me: It’s incredible to know that we inspire people.

Lisa: Before we go, there is a question I’m going to ask each of you. The fans were blowing up our Twitter and Instagram with this question: Are you single?

Me: Yes.

Luke: Yes.

Michael: Yes.

Ashton: Yes.

Dave: What about you guys, JAAMM?

Andrew: Yes.

Marge: Yes, sir.

Jessica: Yes.

Andrea: I actually have an amazing boyfriend.

Martha: Yes

I found myself to be happy about that.

Lisa: Well, that’s all the time we have for this moment. We will be back after these next few songs to play a game with these band members. Stay tuned.

Once that was over, we all got up and stretched. I wonder what game they are planning on playing with us….on air, at that.
