"She's an adorable ball of joy." Austin said after I tucked Anne into bed for her nap.

"Yeah when she's sleep. When she's awake she's an evil little girl. I don't know how it's possible but Anne acts so much like Brendon but they never met." I replied.

"Maybe she dreams about him. I don't know." He said.

I walked out of her room and Austin and I walked to my room. I jumped into my bed and Austin chuckled, sitting beside me. I laid my head on his shoulder and he grabbed my hand and kissed it.

"I have a question." I asked.

"Hmm?" He asked looking at me.

"What were you doing at the cemetery when we first met?"

"I was visiting my mom. She died because of a disease and now it frightens me that I may have it."

"Why? What disease is it?" I asked curiously.

"Marfan Syndrome. It's a rare gentic disorder and I'm hoping it's not it because, I've had heart surgery before."

"Oh my god." I whispered.

"But you know, it is what it is." He said shrugging.

I punched him and he cried in pain, holding his arm. "What was that for?"

"Don't say that! I'm not gonna lose you, do you hear me? I've had too many people die on me! I'm not gonna let you die!" I exclaimed now crying.

He held on to me and whispered, "I'm not gonna leave you Hayley, I promise."

I held on tighter for fear that he might leave me. Just like how Brendon left in front of me. I ended falling asleep in Austin's arms only to be woken up by a phone ringing. I stirred and so did Austin because it was his phone.

"Hello?" He answered in a sexy, deep, groggy voice. "What? Oh um, I'm kinda busy right now." He said looking at me.

I traced patterns on his shirt and he smiled at me. I smiled back and he continued talking. "Ok, look, Vic, I'll be there early tomorrow then, alright? Yeah I promise. Alright. See ya." He hung up and I asked, "Who was that?"

He put his phone on my nightstand and wrapped his arms around me. "My boss. He wanted me to come today because he had to leave early."

"Well why didn't you?" I asked.

"You and Anne. I promised Anne I would stay so therefore, I'm staying." He said.

I kissed him hard and tangled my fingers in his hair. I pulled away and whispered, "That's sweet of you."

He smiled and I started straddling him. "Why are you such a good man?"

"Because Momma raised me right." He replied.

I laughed and nodded. He put his hands on my hip to steady me and I rocked on his hips.

"You know this is fun?" I asked.

"Uh huh." He replied, his eyes darkening.

I got off and smirked. "Nope. I will not have sex after the first date."

"Well, aren't you a tease?" He asked.

"Only a little." I replied smiling.

I walked into Anne's room and found her playing with her Bratz dolls I bought her for her birthday last year.

"Mommy?"

"Hmm?"

"Can Austin stay with us forever? He's cool and I can tell you really like him."
