I refuse to sink

I wish dreams came true. I wished love was real. I wished my parents cared. I wish I wasn't dejected. I wish I was normal. But them again wishes don't come true . They only exist in fairy tales .

My name is Zayra I am 17 & i am senior . I had an older brother but he was killed in a car crash last year by drunk driver . I miss him so much. After he died my mom & my dad started fighting more. They blame each other for what happened. Their isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him.

In school I am classified as your typical nerd . Yes I care very much about my grades I just want to go to college & leave . I can't stand being stuck in room everyday because of my parents fighting. Sometimes I wished I had a normal life. I just want to leave and never come back.
