As Forest

Franziska woke up early. Earlier than everyone else in the grey colored mansion.
She decided to just go walk around the warm yellow tulip garden. That was her favorite place where she could lose her mind, thinking about anything. Eventually, her Butler, Lancelot, woke up. He scolded poor Franzy for not waking him up, but was forgiving since he also enjoyed the warmth of the sunlight and the dancing tulips around them. Lance prepared breakfast, thin pancakes with recently made Canadian maple syrup and a few big, juicy, blue blueberries. Something uncommon. It was a special, very unique day. She could choose where she would take her family since she was getting sick of all the sitting around in the large mansion.

Of course, she was thankful to her father about the chance to have everything but, what did the real world look like? All she knew was that everything basically went down after the global warming thing and everyone moved to this planet.

Of course, easier said than done. It would take around 200 years to get there so, everyone had to reproduce, and reproduce, all deceased one's were thrown out in space.

The few families that survived, made a new world. Similar to the previous one. Different sized countries but, same amount. They named it Thara

After around 210 years, everything went back to normal. There were satellites for Fi-Wi, but a cleaner atmosphere. There was still water, but cleaner. Everyone was careful with this world and it's cleanness.
Franziska couldn't help but wonder what type of world the last people had. Did they also have tulips? Tulips were everything in this world. Tulips gave air, life, happiness, color, every single thing you need. She knew, her questions would never be answered but...might as well hope, right?

"Lady Franziska, we have to get you dressed." She heard her blue eyed Butler from the main hall.
"I'll be there in a minute!" Franzy said back.
Well then, I guess, stay on that thought. She quickly stepped into her emerald green dress and put on her midnight blue necklace. Lancelot was, like always, struggling with the knee-high, sharknet like design tights.

She sat down in her carriage with her father and brother. Yes, she was the only female in the family. In quite a long time. Not a single bloodshot soul knew where her mother was.

"So, where are we headed Franz?" Kazuomi speaks up putting his boots on the carriage seat and laying down.
"Well, it's a surprise for now."
Mr.Lenze chuckles "It better not be to another tulip festival-"
"I-it wasn't that bad!" Franziska screeched as her cheeks reddened a bit of the memory "it wawn't my fauwt he twook mwy seawowse bawwon..."
The rest of the ride was filled with friendly conversation and a few lively laughs.

"Ta-da! I hope you like it!" Franziska smiled.
They ended up at a forest, with a goal for the people to explore the interesting nature of Thara. Kazuomi, for one, was quite joyful since he loves exploring everything. She was amazed by her brother's reaction, like always. Franziska adored Kazuomi for his happy, positive personality. Although sometimes he seemed a bit fishy, it was completely hidden by the charming smile.

They saw all kinds of flowers and plants. Tulips, rozés, heartflowers, peoponies, and the cactra, which was quite prickly. Franziska enjoyed her stay and long awaited talk with her father and older brother.

On the way back though...

Everything wasn't as.... smooth. Literally. The road was quite bumpy and Franziska even fell onto Kazuomi, who was on the other side of the carriage. Kazuomi and Mr.Lenze seemed a bit... too calm?
"Uhm- hey aren't we supposed to head home on the same path...?" Franziska asked quietly.
"Oh, Franzy, it'll be over soon, don't worry." Kazuomi sat up.

After a lot longer than it should've been, they arrived. She stepped out first, as the only Lady and heard the carriage door behind her shut and it riding away. The window opened and Kazuomi was leaning through it with a smirk "Hey, sorry about this sis, I promise it'll be for your own good!" And Mr.Lenze dragged him back inside.

She was confused until she turned around. "W-wait, t-this is... Eudoras Dianas University." Eudora Diana was someone very important in the past.

She helped with finding materials that aren't "plasticy" since it ruined the world in the first place.

She told everyone that there were specific areas to get rid of rubbish and put it away, so someone who might need it, can take it or reuse it. Eudora also helped people deal with emotions and talk to them. She was the only reason Thara could stay.

Since she was alone in educating children and teens, the students decided to build a whole University in her honor. She was so very happy and bright, until one day, she mysteriously passed. Everyone thought it was just an accident, right?

Anyhow, Franziska was shocked, this was a university, not a school! She was still merely 14!

Franzy decided to just go in, since that's why her father and Kazuomi had left her for, most likely.

She walked a bit in the grand hallway with the matching emerald green carpet until she heard her name from behind "Is Franziska Adoré Lenze here? God, where is she?" She turned around and saw a man, a little older than her, possibly... 16? He had black hair, deep blue eyes, a pastel blue sweater with little patterns on it and dark blue pants with a little rozé imprint.

"Uh- yes I'm her, why was I brought here?" The man looked at her confused. "Wow, this is unexpected." He said in more of a... Mockery way.
She noticed this small detail "What? You literally just met me, and just because you're 60 doesn't mean you can make fun of me!" "Oh, 60? Are you blind you short peasant? I'm literally 16.5 years. And what are you? 5?" Franziska took a breather. She wasn't going to argue with this stranger without even knowing him. "Anyway, oldie, I am Franziska. What. Do. You. Need." The man sighed "Ugh- I'm Yuzuru, one of the university's recent welcoming team." He stated.

Franziska looked at Yuzuru. "W-wait, I'm 14, I-i Can't go to University!" The guy looked at her in a more mocking manner than before "Pfft- you thought we're letting you, a child, into an University? No, better yet, Eudoras Dianas University! Ha, as if! How self-absorbed can you be?" Franziska was taken back for a moment. Self-absorbed? "Th-then what am I doing here?" She asked nervously. "Well, simply put-" Yuzuru stated "you're gonna work as a maid here. We're providing a room or whatever. Follow me and try to remember where everything is. We don't want to lose a maid."

They started walking and Yuzuru was showing everything in the left side of the university. "What about the right side?" Franziska asked. Yuzuru went quiet "Uhm- you don't need to go there." And they dropped it at that. Franziska went to her room.

It was small but quite nice. It had a window with a view to the nearby, crystal like lake. The bed was enough for 2 people and had a purple blanket as an accent to the light blue walls. It had a small bedside table next to it. There was a white closet with her new uniform in it. She decided to go take a shower to clear her mind.

So, her father and brother had left her. To work. In an University. As a maid. Yeah, ok. That's fine. Sure.

She was not that happy. Especially after the talk with Yuzuru. Why was this "for her own good," it didn't make sense!

She stepped out, turned out the light and got comfortable in her bed. Well, as comfortable as you can in a uncomfortable situation.

Well, in any other case. This was fine for now. Although, Franzy couldn't sleep. She just watched the lake, unable to take her eyes off of it. Until she saw that-

Next up on "As forest;Chapter 2": "Hey! That's illegal-?" I swear, I will not let this slide. Ever. Not by my soul. "Get to work, I didn't get you here for- what the hell?!" He has the same feeling, doesn't he? "We're accepting-"
