I'm standing in front of the big wooden door to the mansion. It honestly looks like it hasn't been opened in decades.
I push the handle a little, and to my surprise, the door actually opens up immediately. I continue pushing and right in front of me, there is a completely empty hall with only a ripped, dusty carpet in the middle. There is a staircase leading to the second floor and I can see two empty doorframes to a random room and what looks like a kitchen.
"Woah, that's so cool," I say while looking around in awe and slowly making my way to the kitchen. "Really weird how they just left this building behind."
The room is pretty dark, so I switch on my cellphone flashlight. There's a porcelain sink, and nothing else. You can see some white wall tiles, but most of them are gone. "Hm. Nothing special here."
I leave the kitchen and return to the hall. My curiosity leads me upstairs, and I look around carefully in case there's any spirit around. The only door in this house so far, except for the entrance, catches my eye: it's dark red and has a golden handle. "Doesn't look that old," I frown and take my phone out for a picture.
The door looks so ominous and scary in comparison to the bland rooms, it's kind of frightening.
As I'm about to lay my hand onto the door handle, a noise from downstairs scares the shit out of me and I put my hands over my mouth. It sounded like the front door opening. The sudden noise caught me off guard, I'm scared to move.
"Oh my- fuck. Shit. Fuck. No," I whisper in sheer PANIC. "What am I gonna do?" A small portion of me hopes it's actually a ghost or some type of creature, but the biggest portion thinks it's just the house owner or someone who's allowed to go here, hehe.
"I'm definitely gonna die," I hear a voice say and my eyes widen.
