The universe glimmered, speckled with billions of star systems, galaxies and other entities of the cosmos. Watching over it, a spectral beings of a unique kind of intellect. They had been searching, in agony, for an eternity. Finally they had found physical form that would complete them. They could latch onto them. In a galaxy inhabited by billions upon billions of the forms, there were plenty to go around, to the spectral beings that numbered only a few thousand. Pitiful in comparison to the sprawl of hosts available to them.
A voice that did not require air, nor any other physical restriction, carried itself onto the other beings.
Latch onto them! Its brethren took up the cry, and they raced through space to separate planets of the dual star system; Alder 10, All of the worlds inhabited in plenty by humans. Their saviours.
An unusual and short start, I know, but i can assure you this is a Sci-Fi, and you will not regret reading the next chapter. That's where things really begin. Queue the epic music...
Also, to compensate, the next part is ludicrously long. Enjoy!
