Your eyes were watery from the smoke, the burns on her body felt as if the fire had ripped off her fur.

"Please sire, don't do this! The animals need you, I need you!" she was looking around frantically, trying to convince the king to move out.

"(Y/n, you will come to learn that the animals are what makes me the king, undoubtedly there won't be many left unless you get moving this second," his voice boomed, yet his voice was still fazed by the fire nearing him. "That is my second to last order"

"What else could I possibly do?!-" she yelled as she was cut off with two words that came from the lion rulers mouth.

"Kill me."

"...What?" she breathed out.

"Kill me before these flames reach me and give me a long, painful death. I know how much you want to do so, I know how long you've been holding yourself back from slaughtering every animal, so it's a win-win. Do it."

I didn't take her too long, he was right and still had control. Thank goodness there was no cub or queen, she wouldn't have to go too far that she'd lose her sanity permanently.

After the deed was done, found an opening with some survivors behind her and got out of the hell that they once knew as home. It was a collective agreement they would move forward, following the one remaining member of the jungles guard, the leader was their last hope and the great panther named (Y/n) did not disappoint when she found the pride lands.

She became the lands main defense before Kion was born, then she held herself back in order to let the younger guard improve, only helping in patrol, guarding the king and fighting in situations when it could involve death if she wasn't fighting alongside the lion guard.

As a patrol, it is her job to keep any unwanted outsiders out. She knew of which hyenas were to be trusted and which were not welcome, she also knew of methods to fend off the vultures, but most of all she knew of the lion group that had been isolated for following Scar only. She knew of their plot, she knew of their names and had their faces on wanted posters in her mind.

Of course, if it weren't for her, they would've starved to death.

Life goes on until something of importance like the tragedy that struck her pride comes along. The scars remain, not letting her dark fur grow back, but (Y/n) can find light still knowing to be wary.
