A blue-eyed gray tom with stars sparkling in his pelt sat in a peaceful meadow, a gentle breeze blowing scents of prey and approaching cats toward him.
A bush rustled, and two star-speckled cats slid into the meadow. "Raggedstar, Crookedstar. I'm glad you came." Skystar said, greeting them with a flick of his tail. Raggedstar only nodded in response, while Crookedstar sat down, gazing around. "Is anyone else coming?" Crookedstar mewed.
"Skystar. It's good to see you're still here in Starclan." a blue she-cat with a silver muzzle mewed pleasantly as she appeared from the nearby forest, with a black-and-white tom with a long tail following at her heels. "Bluestar, Tallstar. I thought for moment you wouldn't come." Skystar mewed calmly. Raggedstar sniffed distastefully. "Even in StarClan, ThunderClan never hesitates to stick their nose in out-of-their-Clan affairs." Bluestar calmly ignored him, the twitch of her tail the only thing betraying her annoyance.
The four great leaders sat together, waiting for the ancient cat to speak. "I've been thinking," Skystar began, "that it is time for SkyClan to take their rightful place among the forest clans once more."
Bluestar nodded. "I agree. We gave the forest countless moon to recover, and it was a shame that SkyClan disintegrated when some cats of the clans came back to the forest."
"I agree as well." Tallstar mewed, his gaze growing dark and worried. "WindClan will need help to fight the darkness that threatens the Clans."
Raggedstar narrowed his eyes. "I'm not sure SkyClan should join the forest Clans." Ignoring Skystar's bristling pelt, he continued: "Although the Twolegs rarely cross Clan borders, is there enough territory for SkyClan? Their territory was a twoleg place, but those ruins hold no prey, even to this day."
Crookedstar nodded in agreement. "And what of Fourtrees? Perhaps there are only four trees to represent that there should only be four Clans in the forest." Skystar snarled in response, his tail lashing in resentment.
"So your Clans will be greedy again? And deny my Clan their rights? They are only trees, and don't represent anything about the number of Clans!" Skystar spat.
Crookedstar narrowed his eyes, his fur bushed up in anger. "You're one to talk about being greedy." he sniffed. Tallstar glared exasperatedly at Skystar and Crookedstar, who were on the verge of a fierce battle.
"Stop this at once!" Bluestar spat, making all the gathered cats turn to look at her. "Bickering will not help or solve this matter. SkyClan will never again be separated from the other Clans, either at the lake or at the forest." The almost transparent she-cat met all of the cats' gazes, solemn and serious.
Skystar smoothed his fur and Crookedstar sat down, though his claws were still unsheathed. "So? Are we in agreement?" Skystar mewed, sheathing his claws. Tallstar nodded as Bluestar letting out an approving mew. Raggedstar gruffly said yes, while Crookedstar, after hesitating for a moment, reluctantly dipped his head in agreement. "Good then."
The light gray tom turned, staring into the distance, determination clear in his starry blue eyes. "It is time to put my plans into action."
