Nora Parker- A high school junior and the protagonist of this story. She lives with her parents and her younger brother, Nicky. She is a talented dancer.
Frida McGee- Nora's best friend and classmate. She is a redheaded girl with ADHD and is the oldest of four sisters and shares a love for dancing with Nora and Andrea.
Andrea Chesterfield- Nora's other best friend and classmate. Andrea is an athletic girl who is not afraid to put up a fight with anyone who messes with her and her friends and family.
Meredith Roberts- A goth girl who is friends with Nora, Frida and Andrea. She is an artistic poet who can also play guitar and is Andrea's love interest.
Jay Thompson- A boy in Nora's grade who's talented in singing and playing various musical instruments. He is a kind hearted boy and is Nora's love interest.
Tyler Brenner- Nora's classmate. He and his younger twin brother, Craig are the two smartest boys in the class. Tyler is more serious, arrogant, direct and somewhat of a Smart Aleck.
Craig Brenner: Tyler's younger twin brother who he shares his level of intelligence with. Unlike Tyler, Craig is a quiet person who is more polite, timid and anxious.
Jessica Evergreen- The Queen Bee of her posse. She is the most popular and meanest girl in school. Jessica is a snobby, manipulative rich girl who is the heiress to her family business and is also the captain of the cheerleading team. She is madly in love with Brody West and would openly flirt with him until she later becomes his girlfriend.
Rebecca Mahogany- The second mean girl who's father owns a dojo. She is a black belt in martial arts and would be causing fights in school.
Veronica Stone- the third mean girl in Rebecca's posse. She is somewhat of a phone junkie and she spreads rumors, gossip and drama of various students to her large number of followers on various social media apps.
Brody West- An arrogant, self-centered, athletic boy who is the captain of the Football Team and is also on the Boys' basketball and swim teams. Many students swoon over him because of his handsome appearace. He would play along with Jessica's flirting and later becomes her boyfriend.
Mrs. Helen Bruins- Nora's Homeroom/Math teacher. Mrs. Bruins is kind, understanding and patient to all her students, acting like a second mother to them. However, she falls ill with Tuberculosis and is hospitalized.
Ms. Candace Emmonds- The substitute teacher for Nora's math class and is the complete opposite of Mrs. Bruins. She is impatient, harsh, way too strict, and gets angered easily. (This character is based on my 5th Grade writing teacher in real life.)
Mrs. Carla Irwin- The science teacher of Moonbrook High school. She teaches two different types of science to the Eleventh and twelfth graders. (Another science teacher teaches the ninth and tenth graders) Mrs. Irwin is a chill and laid back teacher and remains calm in the face of danger.
Mr. Brian Simmons- The History teacher. He takes his teaching job pretty seriously, but at the same time he cracks really bad Dad jokes every now and again. Despite the bad jokes, he is well loved by the students.
Mr. Howard Quentin. Better known as Mr. Q, he is the Art teacher with a great sense of humor. Much like Mr. Simmons, he too takes his job seriously and makes his students laugh at the same time. (This character is based on my art teacher. I love that guy!)
Coach Raymond Johnson- The gym teacher for 9th and 11th graders and The coach for the Boys' Football, Swim and Basketball teams. He is a loud person who directly pushes his students and sports team members to work hard in their practice and exercise. He does this only because he wants his students to do their best to succeed. He's also that one typical gym teacher who would say that running laps outside in cold weather warms you up while he wears a jacket.
Coach Victoria George- The second gym teacher. Except she teaches 10th and 12th grade and she's the coach for the girl's Basketball, Swim and Volleyball teams. She does her job in a similar way to Coach Johnson, except she does not make students run laps outside during cold weather.
Ms. Renee Oakstool- The English Language Arts teacher. She is passionate about her job as a teacher mainly because she was a bookworm since early childhood. She is a slightly strict yet super sweet teacher.
Principal Hubert Brunowski- The principal of MoonBrook High School. He is a serious man who is as tough as a cinderblock covered in flex tape and if he makes up his mind on something, it's difficult to change his mind or convince him otherwise.
Nurse Ilene Edward- The school nurse. She is gentle and serene with the students that come to her office.
Ms. Margaret Grey- The dance teacher. She is a simple Run-of-the-mill teacher who is mostly chill and encourages Nora and her besties to dance in the school's Talent Show.
