Y/N !

I laid in my bed tossing and turning, it was another bad dream. I had, had the same recurring nightmares four nights in a row and every time it was the exact same thing happening again and again, in all honesty I was sick of it.I opened my eyes to be met with the bright light of the sun, I immediately shrunk back into my sheets, my eyes squeezed shut as I covered my entire body with my comforter.I laid there for a moment, I slowly opened my eyes and rubbed them.I pulled the sheets off of my body to be met with the cool air due to the change in temperature. Light bumps covered my arm as I slowly got out of bed and put on my slippers. I picked out my outfit which was a white crop top, some high waisted shorts and some white sneakers. I then ran down the stairs in a hurry to meet up with the boys as we were all going to enjoy a game of cards in the tree house.I decided that I would go to the local convenience store to pick up a pack of gum before heading out.

I walked into the store ,I picked the gum up from the shelf and I was about to walk back to the till to pay for it when I heard that the bell hanging from the door had rung which signaled a new customer had entered the store.I adjusted my gaze as I made eye contact with the person who had just entered the store which just happened to be my good friend Gordie Lachance.I had known the boy and his family since a very young age, I was introduced to him through my cousin Chris Chambers who didn't have the best reputation but he was family and he is one of the nicest people I know.I had always liked Gordie as more than a friend but I didn't realize it till a few months ago but I gave up because I really couldn't do that to my best friend and his sister Lenny Lachance. Lenny was a quite tall girl with tan skin and dark brown hair, her eyes were the same as Gordie's, big brown doe eyes and she always carried a book with her. Unlike her I enjoyed talking to people whereas she had to get to know someone before opening up to them. She had always had a thing for my cousin Chris Chambers and he always had a thing for her. When she told me about it I would always tease her even though I already knew of their secret infatuation. When I did tease her, she started to tease me about liking her brother despite me not telling her.

I payed for my gum and then I knocked the display of cigarettes over and I apologized repeatedly, he said it was fine and gave me a little smirk which almost made me through up a little. The man was about 𝟧𝟢, he bent down which gave me enough time to grab a pack and swiftly shove it in my pocket without the man at the counter noticing. I walked outside and waited for Gordie as I chewed on one of the pieces of gum I had just bought. The bell then rung again and Gordie walked outside with a magazine in his hand.

"Hey Gordie." I said walking up to him.

"Hi Y/N." He said responding to my greeting.

"What have you got there?" I asked referring to the magazine in his hand.

"It's a crime magazine I was wondering if it could help us figure out what happened to Ray Brower." He said.

"Are you heading to the tree house?" I asked.
