A dream is a vortex captured by reality, the only reason I am saying this is simple. Dreams don't exist; I mean it's just your mind playing tricks on the subconscious part of the brain. Well, I'm one to state the obvious since I never really sleep, so therefore I don't dream. To picture the brain (OK Maybe not really sleeping or else you wouldn't wake up...ever) sleeping, images are formed to show us our wild dreams like a movie or book, I couldn't really explain it in much detail than that...I lost my own trail of thought as Bailey and Comet bounded into the classroom, they were followed by a slightly taller girl; who clearly carried herself well and had the attire for a class A level girl though she only wore long sleeve buttoned shirt and trousers, I was staring her down. No one really minded my staring but it caught her attention as she flinched under my gaze, I was sizing her up; trying to picture her home life, though couldn't really get much from her. I won the battle as she lowered her gaze into submission, I didn't smile at my victory, though was bombarded by a usual smiling Comet.
"Knew you would be here" she spoke in a mellow tone, it wasn't high pitched as most of the inappropriate girls in school, but she wasn't even close to being that in fact she was our "special" Comet, it was actually quite calming at times. Comet was your bright, top passing student even though she was clearly too lazy to put it to effort, though sometimes she would occasionally place the effort in. I didn't really understand her at first though, it was irritating to see she had the brains for everything but was too nice to be brought down as a shallow type, low class nerd, not that I have anything against them just I was graded average for most subjects. I looked over at Bailey, the only one who seemed to be the normal one out the whole group of friends. She posed like a model though never ran that low of being like the other snobs here. She had an ultra-bubble side that seems to jump out at the most serious of times, though no one could blame her for trying to ease the tension. The new girl stared at the floor, clearly trying to see if it would suck her in and pop her on the other side of the world. "Venus this is Carly, she just moved here" Bailey explained trying to put the poor girl at ease, the tension wasn't thick but it was there. Comet smiled over at Carly, while Bailey put a reassuring arm around her shoulder, though it seemed to me like a half friendly hug. Don't get me wrong, Bailey wasn't lesbian she was just very nice, same as Comet. Though what I couldn't understand is how we became friends, they understood my terms and I sort of understood theirs. I never really spoke, rarely even said a word or made a sound. Though no one asked about it, or bothered getting a word out of me. "Hi..." I probably wouldn't have caught Carly's soft voice since my mind was buzzed in life today, but I caught it and nodded my head in return of her soft song like voice. I turned away from my friends and Carly to stare out the class window at the much more interesting view of the school flower gardens. "Don't mind Venus, she doesn't say much to anyone." Bailey explained the situation to Carly, I heard a scrap of chairs as I knew everyone sat down, Comet was of course next to me and Bailey sat with Carly in front of us. "oh...I thought I offended her" Carly spoke, that of course caught my attention as my head snapped toward her, she looked over at me and gave me a worried looked. Her green eyes showed the worry, but I reassured her quickly through mine which helped her relax a bit as the bell sprang to life calling everyone to their registered classes. I shifted my gaze back out the window as Mrs White walked into the classroom settling everyone down, Winter break just ended and everyone was still over excited about it. "Well class we have a new student with us, her name is Carly Nicole Weston" Mrs White said with a clear smile playing on her lips, everyone turned in their seats as Carly stood and waved at them.
I walked slowly down the school halls, I took in a deep breath and entered the cafeteria just in time to see Carly being tripped by that witch Candice, but I wouldn't call her anything close to a witch really. Just a simple underlined dressed hag, who clearly needed help with her make-up and her looks for that matter. I scrunched my nose in disgust as I calmly walked and caught Carly's tray of food before it hit the ground and spilled everywhere, I narrowed my eyes at Candice and her pathetic friends. They scurried away as Bailey ran over and helped Carly off the floor; Comet appeared next to me staring toward Candice and her minions. "Pathetic..." Bailey spoke; Carly cringed as she snatched her arm away from Bailey's deadly grip. A flash of purple on her skin caught my attention away from Candice; I narrowed my eyes on her covered arms. "Thank you, for helping me." Carly spoke and reached for her tray that I held; I handed it over after a few minutes of hesitation and walked away from them toward an empty table. I sat down as waited for the talking, gossip to return before turning back to my meal, soon the lunch room returned to the normal atmosphere. Comet sat down and pulled out a tuna sandwich as Bailey ate a slice of cheese and extreme meaty pizza, Carly sat down and stared at her salad. I shook my head and peeled the cupcake cover off; cherry scent erupted through my nose as I took a bite of the cupcake. "Hey, Venus don't you have to work tonight?" Bailey asked, clearly curious on the case all of a sudden, I shrugged my shoulders and nodded my head slowly staring at her. "We want to introduce Carly to the others" Comet smiled brightly, it actually freaked me out really because 'the others' were not really a world that a simple girl like Carly should mess with, though I didn't protest just stared at Bailey giving her the warnings through my eyes. "I understand Venus, but she will have to soon or else she won't be accepted" Bailey spoke softly, Carly frowned at this but chose to butt out, 'Good girl' I thought smugly as I turned my attention back onto the second cupcake.

I couldn't believe school dragged on so long till after lunch, there were only three periods of the day left and the start of my own night life. I shuffled around in my seat waiting for the bell to ring so I could head over to biology; I actually wasn't paying much attention in class. Mrs Harvard gave up trying to grab it in asking me for answers in the math problems, the first time she asked me the class gasped and in timidation for me to answer, I only gave the teacher a narrowed look before getting up from my seat and heading over to the board. She was shocked by my action, but was satisfied when I answered it in written work on the board correctly. I was getting restless with the day; Mrs Harvard gave out an assignment on the first day, though that wasn't getting to me at all really. The only thing that actually bothered me was that I couldn't figure out Carly, she was like a thick wall, she never really opened up much on family or friends from her previous home that it was intentionally bugging the shit out of me. I rolled my eyes as Mrs Harvard spelt dictionary wrong and gave us all a sassy annoying laugh as she erased the word, "Humans make mistakes Venus" Bailey's thought popped into my mind, I turned my head toward her. Since she sat in front of me she had to turn back and smile, "Whatever you say..."I thought back in return, though Bailey was the only one to actually get words out of me even though they were through a telepathic link yet she was perfectly content with it. I frowned as I stared at the clock in front of the class, "24 seconds left...23...22" my thoughts were interrupted by Bailey, "Will you stop counting down the time" I glared at the back of her head as the bell rang, I jumped out my seat and rushed out of class before Mrs Harvard could say a word. "Slow down, your legs are longer than mine!" Bailey shouted as she tried to keep up with my strides, I kept my pace and turned left up the stairs toward our next class, Biology. Carly greeted us several minutes later as she entered the class, I was as usual spacing out already by staring at the interesting window view. "Hey guys so who wants to learn about our beautiful body today" Comet said as she entered, she planted herself next to me and smiled sweetly at everyone. The bell rang, silencing the corrupt class of their chatter as we waited for Mrs Long to grace us with her presence. "Oh I saw Mrs Long, grabbing coffee, how long do you think she'll be before she realizes she has a class?" Carly whispered to Bailey, this of course intrigued me since I wasn't expecting her to know about our biology teacher. Mrs Long finally braced us as she rushed into class with a mug of filled coffee; I scoffed under my breath as the scent of burned coffee beans tickled my nose. People turned in my direction in interest on what I'll do; I just turned my head away and stared out the window earning a few disappointed sighs even one from Comet. "Sorry I'm late class, I was...err...trying to...anyway turn to page 177 in your textbooks" Mrs Long spoke after expecting something from me as well, the sound of pages turning came to life as everyone either turned to the page or just a random page. I sat with my book closed and listened to her talk on and on about the human body and it so 'fasinating' 206 bones. I wasn't going to lie that I didn't enjoy biology in fact I loved the damn subject enough to stand the whole hour of it, instead of asking permission to go to the bathroom which she is most likely go stand against allowing me to go. Though even if a teacher told me 'no', I would gracefully get out the wooden uncomfortable seat and leave the classroom to go walk about. I stood up to catch Carly's shocked expression, a smirk made its way onto my lips as I walked toward the classroom door.
