The ride to his cabin isn't long and we don't talk much, music plays quietly on tbe radio, some band I don't know with crappy lyrics. My bell jingles with every small bump in the road and I smile to myself each time.
His cabin hasn't changed much since the last time I'd been here.
He threw a new years eve party and we both drank too much. It was our first time together. Sweet and vanilla. The porch was lit with fairy lights drooping between every column. The fire pit wasn't on but some embers shone from under the ash.
I can smell the smoke in the air, tangled with sandalwood and fresh dew from rain only a few hours ago.I collect my bag from the car, he walks up the steps before me and stands by the door, turning to face me as I approach him.
He holds out his hand."What?" My mind blanks and I raise a brow at him.
"You read the rules B, no cell phone while you're here."
I scoff, that was starting already?
"And how am I gonna call someone if you do turn out to be a psycho?"
He grinned at me. "We need trust for this to work. I'm not a psycho I promise. And if you don't feel safe there's a lock in the guest bedroom and you can sleep in there."
"And if someone needs to contact me?" He didn't even think before responding. I don't think my lips had even touched before his opened.
"I'll keep it on and charged, you're here for three days. I'll let you know if anything I deem important comes through but texts from Alia about the guy she slept with last night." He shrugs. "Can wait until I take you home."
Of course he has an answer for everything and by his smirk I knew defeat was written on my face.
I hand him my phone and he slides it into his back pocket. The cabin is warm when we step inside, the fire already burning and lights already on.
It's welcoming and cosy. Oak tables and shelves, candles placed around and a small statue here and there.
Dragon statues seemed to be a running thing around the cabin but the colors were gorgeous and gave it almost a fantasy vibe."Okay, so the grand tour." He smils and leads me into the living room.
A water feature is on the back wall, the sound of running water was soothing along with the crackle of the fire.
It's dark outside, a clock ticks away somewhere counting down the minutes past midnight but the cabin is bright, the lights on the celing shining down on us.
The couches are black and feel soft as I run my fingers over the cushions. A TV sits on the wall with a few games consoles here and there.
Doms still get bored I guess. He watches me take in his home, I breathe in the smells and take in the sights, reliving some memories and creating new ones.
Footsteps pull me from my trance and I follow silently.
"The kitchen." It's much more modern than I was expecting, sleek but still fittiing with the undertones of the cabin. An island sits in the middle, stools on one side and a sink at the end.
There is a cosier eating area just opposite the island, a table with a few comfy chairs around."We'll be doing a lot of cooking for your training. I need to know we can take care of each other. Well-fed and healthy." His voice is calm as he leans against the island facing me.
"And here I was thinking we'd be eating pizza every night and doing some light bondage." He chuckles in response.
"We'll be having pizza tonight. But I can assure you." I meet his eyes and he held my gaze. "the bondage won't be light."
