Chapter 3 @

"I'm home"

" Hey honey why are you limping ". Mom asked.

" Got into a fight and sprained my ankle " I said

I was hungry now I lost my appetite.

"Oh sweetie you're always fighting"my mom said.

" I'm going to take some of the tylenol and go to sleep" .

"Ok we finished dinner already so we're going to bed . if your hungry your dinner is in the refrigerator" .

"Ok good night "

I was just about to fall asleep when I heard two shots fired.
I slowly made my way downstairs to see if anyone was hurt .

"Emily!!!! ,Emily !!!!!!" My mom screamed.

"I'm downstairs" I said loud enough for her to hear.

"Are you ok ? " she asked.

"Yea , the twins ? " I questioned.

"Their on the couch sleeping " she said calming down .

My dad is at work .

Soon we heard police sirens outside . We went outside to see them at our neighbour's house .They were a family of five .

The mother ,Nina
The father,Nick
Their two daughter Faith and Hailey
And Nina's mother Darcy.

They told us that someone fired shots at their house but drove away no one was hurt.

They were scared to stay back at their house so my mom offered them to stay for the night . They thanked my mom and went inside for my mom to show them their rooms . Except Nick he told Nina he had work and he won't be back until on the morning.

But I know that's a lie he probably went to his other woman's house .Such a shame he has two kids but he is still doing that .

I closed the door but didn't lock it with the key because dad forgot his key .

They went to the kitchen and locked the kitchen door to talk privately we didn't mind that .

Mia was on the sitting on the bean bag while Lea was in my mom's arms

We heard multiple knocks on the door .

Who could that be ?
