When shy and antisocial Nicolas's older brother - Stanley - suddenly disappears in their small town, Nicolas is left alone without anyone to talk to. The way he copes with his grief is by writing letters to his brother, in the hopes of letting the wind take them to him one day.
However, Nicolas's friendless and lonely world is turned upside down when a new girl moves into town. Nicolas and Breeze form a strong friendship, and Nicolas slowly begins to learn more and more about himself through the aid of Breeze and his letters.
And then he discovers the truth that shatters his entire existence - because where there is love, there are lies.
