I fluffed my hair. This was my year to shine. Last year, I was a dork. But now I'm in high school. Things are about to chance. I have naturally bouncy blonde hair, so that helps. At my private school they let you where one accessory. And you have to wear it all year. I put on my mom's antique gold locket. I couldn't help but shed a little tear. My mom died when I was 5. Cancer seriously sucks. My mom, in her last moments of life, put this necklace around me and told me to hold it tight. 10 years past and I have ever since. I tucked it in my uniform to sneak it so I could put on one more accessory, my matching beanie. I nodded and put on some lipgloss and combat boots. I tugged down my red velvet button down blazer. I'm totally ready.
