Chapter 45: A Night To Remember

* Kennedy's POV *

All of us were coming back from our shopping spree. We walked into the living room. I grabbed the note on the counter.

Put on something nice because we got plans in about 2 hours.

I smiled showing off my note. Ebony walked over & found hers.

Ebony,

Go to your closet & put on the best dress in there. I've got a surprise for you.

She said reading it with a smile. Karri opened hers & read it aloud...

Pooh Bear,

Since your always complaining that we don't spend too much time together, I've got a great idea. Get dress, I prefer a dress for tonight. See you soon. Love you.

She smiled.

Karri: I wonder what they doing.

Kennedy: I don't know, but it better be damn good.

Regan opened up hers with a smile on her face.

Regan: August better be doing the same.

She said before reading it.

Get dress in your best dress & I'll see you in a few. I love you.

She started jumping up & down.

Kennedy: Stop hopping yo ass around here.

Ebony: Well, I'll be in the bathroom getting dressed.

Kennedy: I don't know why they planned for all our asses to be out here & doing this shit at my house.

Regan: It'll be fun though. Maybe it's dinner...

Karri: Probably. I hope so...

3 Hours Later...

Karri looked up at the clock while all of us sat around on the couch.

Karri: Where they at? It's been 3 hours...

Ebony: I know right.

Just by that time the door opened & a mysterious man walked with his hand out.

Man: I'm here for Ms. Ebony Cole...

He said with an accent. Ebony looking confused stood up & grabbed his hand. Another walked in.

2nd Man: Can Ms. Kennedy Ayana come forward?

I stood up & grabbed his hand while another stepped in. What the fuck were they doing?

3rd Man: Ms. Karri?

Karri stood & walked over towards him while he grabbed her hand. Then a last one stepped in.

4th Man: Ms. Regan Alana?

Regan walked over & grabbed his hand. They walked us to the limo getting inside with us. We sat around all confused looking at one another, until the limo finally stopped. One of the men opened the door & helped us out the limo. Kendrick approached first & I grabbed his hand, then August, Peter, & J.

Kennedy: What y'all got going?

Kendrick: Y'all always talk about how y'all didn't experience prom, so we're taking y'all to prom tonight.

J Cole: We hope this night is special for y'all.

August: Something you'll never forget.

Peter: Hope y'all have fun. Anything for y'all.

They pulled out the corsages & placed them around our wrist. Walking us inside the building full of balloons, with a prom banner, music, food, & even space to dance. I walked straight over to the table with the food placing some crackers into my mouth. Kendrick grabbed my hand & walked me out on the dance floor. I placed my hands on his shoulders while we moved side to side to the music.

Kennedy: This was really sweet. I'm glad you did this.

Kendrick: So you liking prom?

Kennedy: I'm loving it, just never thought I would be 4 months pregnant.

I said laughing. He grabbed me closer.

Kendrick: Well, it happens..

Kennedy: & this exactly how.

I said leaning in for our kiss. Tonight was definitely a night to remember.
