Doctor Park - Chanbaek/Baekyeol

Ch.5

(B.B.H)

  After I hang up I jump off the couch and run towards my closet, he said to dress comfortably, I would normally wear sweatpants and some huge shirt, but I also want to look good, I don't have much time and I need to choose fast. After thinking for a little while I've decided to wear a black hoodie with ripped jeans. I look at the mirror and fix my hair with my hands a bit and smile, I look good. Suddenly, I hear my phone ring; I grab my phone and check the caller ID and smile.

"Hello?"

"I'm here~"

"I'm coming!" I hang up and run to the door and see Chanyeol standing outside.

  Chanyeol looks amazing, he was wearing something completely casual yet looked absolutely stunning.

"Where are we going?" I ask excitedly.

"Hmm... I was so excited to see you I didn't exactly think about where to take you." He laughs shyly.

"Oh! I saw a park nearby is that okay?" Asks Chanyeol.

"I never got to visit that park...let's go!" I smile.

  We leave the building and I take a deep breath. The weather is nice today, the perfect weather for a park date- day. I don't get to go out much because of Jaemyung, I don't mind but it feels good being out with Chanyeol on this perfect day. As we're walking to the park Chanyeol and I talk about- everything.

"So you haven't been to this park before?" Asks Chanyeol.

I shake my head, "Nope, Jaemyung wouldn't let me go with my friends or alone and I don't want to go with him."

"This Jaemyung guy is really restricting you from living huh..." Chanyeol looks at me sadly then he suddenly pauses, "He's not going to get mad at you if you get caught right? Do I have to bring you home early."

I smile, "Nope. I scared him."

"You did? Oh my god, what did you say?" Asks Chanyeol genuinely curious.

"I told him I'd leave him if he keeps treating me like his toy, he looked so pathetic it was hilarious." I laugh recalling his face, "You know he always seemed to tough and would threaten me but he's actually pretty weak, he couldn't hurt me, he's over-possessive and annoying but it's because he loves me. I actually feel bad because it was a forced marriage so I never really liked him, but he always liked me so much. I would make an effort and appreciate him if he wasn't so childish and treated me like a toy."

"Nice job Baekhyun! So are you free from him?" Asks Chanyeol excitedly.

"Sadly I don't know how to get him to sign the divorce papers. " I sigh.

"I  could help you make a plan, I'd love to help you out and make you happy Baekhyun." Said Chanyeol.

  I look up at him feeling shocked, Chanyeol is willing to help me?  So he does want to stick around, but what does he see me as?

"Really?!" I smile widely.

"Yes really, Baekhyun." He responds, "I want to be around you more and it might be hard with him sticking to you, and I want you to be happy, and I want to be here for you."

I can feel my cheeks turn red, "Thank you, Chanyeol"

"No problem at all." Chanyeol stops walking, "Look we're here!"

There were kids running around on the grass and playing games, a couple of people are having picnics too, and there were couples and friends taking walks together as well. There was also a cafe near a playground.

"It's prettier than I imagined it to be." I say looking at the sight in front of me.

"Come on let's go on a walk!" Chanyeol and I start walking together and looked around.

I suddenly gain a little bit of confidence and move closer to Chanyeol, our hands brushed against each other and I was honestly tempted to hold his hand, and it was like Chanyeol read my mind because he held my hand and looked at me smiling.

"Is this okay?" He asks with a hint of worry in his voice.

I nod, "Your hand is much bigger than mine, its nice."

  After walking around the park a little more we ended up at the park cafe and decided to get some something to drink. We get our drinks and sit outside to take advantage of the wonderful weather today.

"Today would be great for a beach day, next time the weather is like this we should go." I suggested.

"Hm, it's been a while since I went to the beach, but I wouldn't mind going anywhere with you honestly." Baekhyun admitted.

"Good, because I want to take you out to do fun things every day."  I start thinking of all the places I could take him and all the things we could do.

"What about the hospital? You said you were a resident doesn't that make you super busy?" Asked Baekhyun, "Wait are you skipping work because of me?!"

"Right...the hospital." I sigh, "I asked for the rest of the day off so we could hang out, I wanted a break anyway."

I wish I could just quit, I could focus on producing, have more free time, spend time with friends, and Baekhyun. The more I look at the smaller the more I want to know about him, but I'm going to be busy at the hospital for the next few years, even once my residency is over I might not have time to hang out with Baekhyun as much as I'd like to, eventually he'll disappear from my life. I don't want that, I'm not willing to sacrifice that just to become a doctor. But, I don't want to let my father down, I just have to put up with it until I get the confidence to tell him.

This doesn't mean I'll give up on Baekhyun.

"Oh...is it hard?" Asked Baekhyun, "Being a resident I mean."

"It's pretty hard, I have to be at the hospital 24/7 running around helping the doctors and patients, it gets tiring." I explain.

"It must be, but I guess some people are willing to work that hard and sacrifice a few things to become a doctor. Helping people must feel nice but not just anyone can become a doctor." Says Baekhyun.

"That's right Baekhyun, not just anyone can be a doctor. The best doctors are the people who like what they're doing, which is why I'm worried about becoming one."

"What do you mean?" He gives me a cute confused expression.

"I'm gonna be honest with you Baekhyun, I'm becoming a doctor because I don't want to disappoint my father," I explain, "He and I dreamed of getting to work side by side in the future, but I lost that passion I had for it a while ago."

"Oh...what do you want to be?" He asks me with curious eyes.

"Hmm...I wanted to be a producer, but it'll never happen." I sigh.

"I think you can, you should be honest with your father, he might be upset at first but he'll understand."  Said Baekhyun.

  I guess he's right, but I'm still scared. Once I quit can I even make a living as a producer? It might be too much of a risk, am I willing to take that risk?

"Hey about this, you said that you'll help me leave Jaemyung right? I'll help you talk to your father, and help you out in anyway I can after." Said Baekhyun, "Deal?"

  So I'll get to see Baekhyun more?

"Deal!"

I'm trying to make my updates more frequent, an I doing well lol.

I usually update once a weekish but I probably won't be able to update for the rest of August, I'll try though :)
