She woke up and lay awake in her small bed. Pulling up her pink salmon colored sheets, lay slightly gripping her body.
Her small neck is sore from only having one pillow, she asked for another earlier, but you need a doctor's order to have only more then one.(btw this is her first night there )She groaned softly letting her dark short hair brush against her eyes, when she plopped her head softly on her pillow. Thinking about what a long day its been, so many emotions filled her.
Sapphires sleep medication was slowly wearing off, leaving her once again a prisoner to insomnia. Sapphs eye lids basically glued open revealing her dark sky blue eyes, leaving her out to listen to the rings and soft noises of the pitter patters of the nurses shoes walking through the hallways, along with all the noises of the hospital that she couldn't explain. Feeling like she would never sleep again, thinking about how she got here.
She listened closely to her roommate breathing and the rising and falling of her chest from across the room. She looked so peaceful. She was very thin and had blonde hair. They where Both in light blue printed pajamas. Sapphires slipped down a bit pasted her now petite waist. Realizing she didnt even know her roommates name considering it was her first day. She sat their only remembering her being quiet around her and how pretty her gray orbs where when she glanced at her.
5:30 am
Room check,
every day morning and night, a small little chart walks into her room. Wheels creaking through the hallways, snapping sapphire out of her thoughts. The door handle turned. A small nurse comes in with a white uniform on with white Van's. She has light ash blonde hair with green eyes. She handed sapphire two capsules (usisom/ sleeping medication) then a small white cup filled with water. She took the pills after examining them and drinked a bit of water with them, letting the cold of the water ease down her stomach, feeling empty. She always loved that feeling, feeling cold in a warm room. she turned and before leaving, she sighed and managed to puff out with a cold tone, like she was sad in a way,"be ready for breakfast at 7:30."
After a while she drifted back to sleep leaving insomnia behind, letting her eyelids slowly close. Rustling under the rough sheets.
7:05
She sat up aroused, sweat dripped off her forehead remembering her nightmare just moments before. The nurse with the ash blonde hair checked in to look at her roommate. Before leaving she turned to the girls.
" Get ready for breakfast soon"
she stated then turning toward the light yellow door the only way escape the room. The room was not huge, only having two beds on each side with a large gap in the middle, dividing the two and a window in the middle letting the summer light shine through every morning. At the far end was a door to a bathroom with a mirror and a small sink. I began to space out. Leaving the cold realization of the hospital behind and everything that happened in the past few months.
