Another lovely day! It's also the first day of school! I sit up from my comfy bed and look at the clock on my bed side table as it read 7 AM. I stretch out my arms before hopping out of bed and walking into my massive walk-in-robe. Daddy owns a couple of very big companies and earns good money for our family. I'm not trying to brag or anything and I'm certainly not a snobby bitch. Well at least I think I'm not… no! I couldn't be. Everyone likes me. I'm nice.. and kind, and caring. I change into a nice baby blue summer dress with the back cut out, and slip on a pair of red toms I got last Christmas from Justin, my older brother who is now in college. After changing I walked into my private bathroom,( yes I have my own bathroom) brush my teeth, and comb my black straight hair into a high pony tail and add in a white bow to match my outfit. I put on a little bit of mascara to make my brown eyes pop, and some eyeliner on my waterline before walking back to my room to grab my Louis Vuitton backpack, my phone, wallet and gym bag that held my cheer uniform before heading downstairs for breakfast. Don't judge me too quickly! I work at daddies company every weekends to pay for my own items. I'm a strong and independent woman now and I'm trying to prove that to mum and daddy so they'll let me move out when I'm 18.
"Rosalinda Lauren Hart!, if you do not come down this very instant you'll be late for school", yelled mum from downstairs.
"Coming!", I yelled back down before quickly skipping down the stairs and walking into the kitchen.
Scarlett, my younger sister is sitting there quietly eating her coco pops, while texting her friend. I roll my eyes at how anti-social she's being. BING! ooh! I got a text message. It's from Jason, my boyfriend of 1 year. I'm totally in love with him but Justin thinks he's bad news. Justin's just playing the role of the older protective brother as always.
'Good morning my little cupcake' it read, and I couldn't help but laugh at his cuteness.
'Morning babe' I reply back quickly with a short text.
I walk over to the cupboards to grab a bowl and on my way there, I give daddy and mum a quick peck on each of their cheeks. In turn, they turn my way and give me a warm smile. I sigh in happiness. My life is picture perfect. I've got the perfect parents, amazing boyfriend and good best friend. I wouldn't swap it for anything in the world. I walk back to the table and pour in coco pops, and add in the milk before eating away.
After finishing, I looked at the clock we had hanging on the kitchen wall near the sink and smiled to myself. It was 7:15, so I decided to get a head start to school. Yes, I don't have a car, but that's only because i'd rather walk and save gas. Daddy offered to get me a car last year, but I declined his offer and told him I would save up my own money and get one when I would need it. I only live 5 minute away from school. Daddy was very proud with me, and I was happy that I was the one who made him proud.
5 minutes later~
As I walk through the school entrance, I look up at the old rickety brick building. It's dull red fading and the school name painted on the very front of it reading Emerson High School. It's my last year here, and I intend on making the most of it. I'm a senior this year, so i'm hoping for exciting things to happen this year. I see my friends which are all in my cheerleading group, and walk up to them while guys are giving me lustful looks and some girls are giving me envious looks while very few actually offer me a smile. I smile back at the ones that smile at me and walk up to give Lucy, my best friend of 3 years a hug before talking to the other girls.
