Dear Diary,

I can't believe it. It's finally over. High school. I'm going to miss it, I know I am. The crazy times my friends and I had.Leslie, Cathrineand I are going to attend NYU next fall. I want to take some time away from everything. I don't want to rush any quicker than I have to. College, well it kinda scares me. It makes everything seem so much more real. This summer is going to be the best. The whole gang, (Haley, Crew, PJ, Blaine, Leslie, Catherine, Jorge, Joseph, Alison and I) are going to be living together all summer before we have to go off to college. It's going to be crazy and I'm so excited! We're packing up today, I'm suppose to be helping Leslie right now but I just had to tell you about it. And now I've got to go because Leslie is threatening to shove this pen up something that's innopropriate. So that's all for now

''Oh look who decieded to help pack.'' Leslie said sarcasticly.

''Shut up, you're lucky I'm even helping you.'' I told her with a smile.

''Yeah yeah. I can't wait to get to the beach, so I can show off in my new bikini.'' She said with a little dance. She was crazy like that. She liked to be loud, and so did I. That's why were best friends since 5th grade. She's mexican, and did I mention crazy? She's beautiful. Trust me, I don't have ugly friends. She had the biggest eye I've ever seen ! Their light brown and it fits with her darkish brown hair. Alot of people think ask her if she's really blonde, because of how goofy she is. But that's just my Leslurish. And I love her!

''What do you want out of this summer?'' I asked her

''Uhmm ..a good tan?'' She said.

I laughed and threw a towel at her, ''No, I mean really, what's one thing you want out of this summer?''

She was thoughtful for a minute,''I'm not sure. Maybe I'll know by the end of the summer.'' She said with a smile,''What do you want of it?''

I sighed, ''A summer romance. Just like in the movies, you meet a guy and you fall in love..''

Leslie smiled,''If anyone deservesa good guy, it's you.'' She came and sat next to me by the bed,''I mean, just think about everything you've been through. All the drama with the wrong guys, you need someone good.'' She put her arm around me.

''That's exactly what I want.'' I said still smiling.

She smiled back,''And me, well I think it's time I left the dating game for a while.''

''You're crazy. You love going out with guys and dates.''

''Yeah but not the cheating and the heartbreaks.'' She said in a low voice.

''Maybe we'll both find our Mr.Right's this summer.'' I said in a cheery voice.

She smiled at me,''Maybe we will. And where is Crew and PJ? Aren't they suppose to be here by now?''

I shrugged,''Could be traffic.''

The door burst open.

''Catherine, You dirty little hamster!'' I screamed as my bestfriend came through the door with atleast seven suitcases.

''Candace-Bear!'' She squealed. She's a really small girl. Petite, and cute. But don't let that fool you. The girl throws down when you're playing chicken.

''I feel like I haven't seen you in forever!'' She said

''I know right!'' I said as she released my from the death grip.

''Guess who's going on the trip with us?'' Leslie told her

''Who?'' Catherine asked cautiously

''Joseph.''

''Ahh! OMG! Really!''

Joseph was this really cute guy with brown curly locks and green eyes. Cathrine had a big crush on him since forever.

''Okay, well hurry up. I don't feel like waiting. Okay yeah love you too.'' Blaine said on the phone, carrying two suitcases

''Hey Blaine.'' I said nicely

Cathrine tensed nexted to me. Leslie turned the other way. We used to be bestfriends, but she started acting ..kinda funny. Fake like. I was just about the only one who could be civil with her.

PJ was her boyfriend. My best guy friend in the whole wide world. I'm the one who hooked them up, and now she treats us like we're below her. She was pretty, not that pretty but a little over average. She had short brown hair, freckles against pale skin, and blue eyes. She was a couple inches shorter than me.

''They guys are on their way. Guess where they've been?'' She said

''Where?'' Leslie asked ina bored voice

''They didn't want to call Pizza Hut because the price was ''too high'' so they went to the High School and ate lunch. Seniors aren't even suppose to be there !''

We all busted out laughing. They would be the ones to do that.

''They're crazy.'' Cathrine said

''I bet it was Crew's Idea.'' I told them

''I bet Jorge was the one who didn't want to pay for pizza though. He's so cheap.'' Leslie said.

''Alison just texted. She's flying out instead. She wants to visit her aunt before she comes to the beach house. And we have to pick Haley up on the way.'' Leslie said.

''The guys are here!'' Blaine squeaked

Jorge, Crew, PJ, and Joseph walked into my room.

They grabbed our bags and took them to the truck. Blaine and Catherine followed. Leslie was about to walk out and then she stopped. ''You okay?'' She asked

I nodded,''I'll be there in a minute.'' She nodded and walked out

I walked into my parents room. My mom was laying in her bed asleep. It was saturday so she was sleeping in.

''Mom?'' I shook her shoulder. She bounced up,''What? What?''

I smiled,''I'm leaving.'' I told her.

Her eyes got watery real quick.

''Don't cry mom. I'll be home before you know it.''I said as she took me into her arms. She pushed back my hair and kissed my cheek,''I love you baby girl.''

I didn't want to cry,''I love you too mom.'' But I did.

We held each other for a minute, butI had to go.

''I call you every sunday!'' I said as I kissed her goodbye.

My dad was in the kitchen, I kissed his cheek,''Bye daddy! I love you!''

He hugged for a long time like he didn't want to let go. If this went on any longer, I wouldn't have been able to leave.

He let me go and I put on my sunglasses so nobody could tell I had been crying.

I ran out the door and to where my friends were.

''Okay, let's get this settled now. Jorge, PJ, Candace, Leslie in Jorge's truck. Blaine, Catherine, Crew, Joseph in Crew's truck. Okay people, Let's go!!'' Leslie announced.

''Wouldn't it have been faster just to fly?'' Blaine said

''Yeah, but not as fun as road-tripping it with best friends!'' Catherine told her

We got into our rides and drove away.
