Hope's POV::
As I sat there on my bed,talking to my friend Kaytlin she decided to ask a question "Hope, do you know why we're never adopted?"
"No Kaytlin I don't I wish I knew but I don't."
"We're the only people that are still here after 6 years."
Now Kaytlin doesn't get it sometimes she's only been at this orphanage for 6 years and a couple of months, while I've been here for 8 so there's some things I don't like talking about.Not being adopted is one of them.
"Can you please just stop talking about it!"I snapped."Sorry,sorry I just-you know I don't like talking about that."
"Yah,sorry."
"It's fine it wasn't your fault it's just a touchy subject you know."
"Yah,I'll stop."
"So..."
"Well,this is awkward now."she said,"I'm going to go to my room now, tell me if you need me."she said with a smile
"Yah sure will,bye."
"Bye" she said as she quietly shut the door making sure the caretaker didn't hear her.Cause the caretakers here aren't nice there actually far from it. Since I've been here the longest they make me cook breakfast,clean up the plates,was the dishes,clean up the toys once the kids are done playing,and then cook dinner and clean it up.At least Kaytlin helps me sometimes but other times she gets in trouble cause they "didn't ask her to do anything" and "it was my responsibility not hers." So you can say I have a pretty hard life,but miracles do come true you just have to have hope.
