The Arrival
Dee's P.O.V.
Today was the first day, finally. I hate to say this to be honest but I hate home just much more as I hate school. At home I can't explore, can't be myself. I feel trapped, as much as people have trapped me in this stupid cycle I feel something different about the school. I was walking to the bus stop, wearing a yellow tank top, with a black leather jacket and black ripped skinny jeans with yellow high top converses. My hair was styled to be swept to the side and I had a plethora of freckles all over my body with vitiligo patches all over. Most people would notice the freckles if they didn't look at the scar that covered the left side of my face, which I had covered with my side swept hair. I looked around, seeing the bus stop I sighed in relief, sitting down and relaxing myself. I've been up all night, worried about the new school and if my parents would come into my room. I'm not at all proud of them and don't think talking about it will help so I wont mention it to anyone.
The next person I heard to arrive was a boy, maybe a tad shorter than I was, wearing a light pastel blue sweater that seemed a ton bigger than him, which honestly I found cute. He also was wearing jean shorts and knee socks with light blue converses. From the way he looked he was more of the peppy type and didn't want to let people in on his true feelings about things. Honestly? I'm not sure what I felt for the poor boy, but deciding to say nothing would be the easiest route to go right? Wrong apparently. The boy stared and stared at the side of my face, making me more and more uncomfortable. It made me squirm, felt like I was at a zoo or a lab rat of some kind.
"Hey there stranger!" The boy said toward me, making me jump in suprise as I look over at him. "What's your name? I'm Patton!" The boy, Patton, all but screamed. Patton huh? I thought, that's a beautiful name. I remember that he was talking to me and quickly say "U-Uh, my name is D-Dee. Nice t-to meet you P-Patton." I noticed he started bounce a bit on his legs, like he was trying not to pee himself or sque- "SQUEEEEEEEE! AWWW! AREN'T YOU THE CUTEST?!" I stand corrected. He was trying not to squeal. Oh jeez. I became uncomfortable again, hoping he would notice and stop. Thankfully he did, smiling and practically giving me star eyes. "Ooh Dee! you'll love my friends!" he grinned, giggling a bit. Honestly it made me smile and blush a bit, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
Oh geez, this is going to be a loooong day... but, maybe it wont be that bad.
