~Story takes place right after the match with the neighbors association~

*THUD*

The sound of the ball hitting the hard cold floor shook me just as the noise of their shoes scrapped the floor. There were many spectators and my heartfelt as excited as before, I-I thought I  was never going to experience this anymore in my life.

It was like a dream come true. Even if I was never going to play on the court again, it was still a dream come true. Even if I was watching from the sideline. My heart was pumping just waiting for them to show up.

And finally, they did.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Uh... Sir? Where should I-"

"For your information, I'm a girl, not a guy. " The movers stopped and looked at me curiously before realizing their mistake.

" Just put those last boxes over there," I said pointing to the empty room at the end of the hallway. Exhausted, I laid on my new bed too tired to start unpacking now. So I thought for a bit.

I mean it wasn't their fault for thinking I was a guy. Hoodies and shorts I borrowed from my older brother was not something a girl would wear. Not to mention I had short hair and not quite the feminine look.

But it didn't bother me at all. It was too much effort to have long hair and I much rather wear comfortable clothes than pretty fancy ones. It made me feel more at home. Even if I was alone.

I sat up in bed abruptly, almost forgetting that there were still things I had to do. One of them was calling my father to tell him I arrived back in Japan. Still, my body was tired from the uncomfortable plane ride here.

I glanced at my phone. It was already 8. With a sigh, I dialed my fathers' number.

" Hello?"

" Father? It's me."

" Shion,  I see you arrived at the apartment. How is it? I had my secretary pick it out for you.

" It's fine."

" Well then, I have arranged your transfer to the new school. What was it called? Karasuno was it? I don't see why you decided to go to that school. With your skills, you would have made it into Shirato-"

" Father!"

"No Shion! You are truly amazing. I don't know why you're being so stubborn. You even had the choice of attending that seeded school, Aobajohsai high."

" Father, we talked about this."

" *Sigh* Fine, I have to go now, then farewell."

*End of call*

That was tiring. Talking to my father could really drain me out.  I got up dusting myself off and moving over to a few boxes of clothes. I pulled and laid out my new uniform. It was one of the boys' Gakuen uniform. I was surprised since most schools didn't have the traditional black uniform.

Anyway, I didn't like the girl's uniform and the schools only state that I have to wear one of their uniforms. Not specifically the girl uniform. And as long the teacher knew I was a girl, then it didn't matter.

Then I spent the rest of my night unpacking.

~First day~

As I slid on the uniform, I looked into the mirror. Only a stranger stared back. My reflection made really look more like a guy. Maybe I should grow out my hair.

Karasuno was within walking distance so I decided to go out for a quick jog before I got to school like the old days.  I looked at my empty kitchen. I should probably buy something to eat too.

As I jogged, I found myself at the new school. I guess I just let my feet take me wherever and ended up here.

Though, I was already here so I decided to look around. It looked nice and it wasn't well known, perfect for me. It was peaceful. Until I got to the gymnasium.

" HINATA!! BOKE!!"

A scream cut through my thoughts. I looked over and saw a ginger hair boy running towards my direction. Just as I wonder why he was here, a volleyball rolled up hitting my leg.  I glance down at the ball and then back at the boy.

" GOMEN, BUT CAN YOU HIT THE BALL BACK?" he yelled as if he was far away.

How long has it been since I held one of these, I thought mindlessly. The boy I assume his name was Hinata stood at the front of the doors, ready to catch the ball. Then a smile creeps onto my face.

With a deep breath, I took my stance and held the ball high. This felt all so calming, like the energy from my hand went into my fingertips. As I threw the ball in the air, the boy realized what I was going to do and took his stance, a light illuminating from his eyes.

*SMACK*

SHOOT! Since it felt calming I hit the ball too hard, aiming directly at his head. It has been a long time since I held a volleyball so my self-control wasn't the best.

I watched as the ball flew toward Hinata. I watched as the excitement in his eyes turned into fear when he realized he wouldn't be able to receive it.

But then he surprised me by dodging the ball at the last second. If there was one thing for sure, it was that he was agile. I was amazed but that was soon gone after the ball flew into the gym doors behind him and made the sound of it colliding into someone.

" HINATA BOKE!"

Then it was my cue to leave.

Time skip

" Everyone settle down. This is the new transfer student," Then the teacher looked over at me.       " Please, introduce yourself."

The class was already gazing at me, taking in low whispers. I was still able to catch a few.

" He doesn't look Japanese."

" Whoa, he looks tall."

" He looks so bored."

Well I mean they weren't wrong. All I wanted was a peaceful life. " My name is Kimihiro Shion. I moved here recently from America and hope to get along with you."  I look over at the teacher who seemed to be pleased with this.

" Well than Kimihiro, welcome to class 2. The seat at the back is where you will be sitting. Everybody, please welcome him."

The last word got my attention. Him? I was sure I notified them that I was a girl.

" Uh.. miss? You do remember I am a girl right?"

Everybody's jaw dropped when I said this. I mean, I did grow up in America so I was bound to grow more, not to mention that I only had a father and brother. No mother figure to influence me.

" Ah, yes. Your father informed us about... your appearance. It seems I forgot."

" Well as long as you know." Then I made my way to the desk. I didn't pay attention to the rest of the class. It was all useless information anyway.  Then lunch came.

I sat at my desk, eating the bread I bought. I haven't unpacked so I haven't had the chance to go shopping. Well, I guess bread isn't bad for the first week. Then I heard familiar voices. I looked over at the door to see two heads poking out of the side.

" Oi Kageyama. He's the one I told you about. The one with the amazing serve."

" Hinata, you dumbass you better be right!"
