You know how someone comes and either shoved a package through the tiny hole in a mail slot, crushing every hope of it working? Or maybe they Leave it on your porch so someone can steal it.
Well turns out that last one might be on purpose.
I kid you not. There's is a community of people, who get a job as a post man, then deliver a package. Once the package is delivered aka set on the door step, the person delivering calls someone and is all like "yo, you know how yous was needing a new phone? Good news just dropped one off. Go pick that shit up".
That's a really thing!! I always thought "yo, dem mail people be good. They make sure I get my nice new dil- I mean dictionary on time" and then they start doing this!?
The mail man for my street is a nice old man who tells us jokes and gives us hella expired candy cigarettes. Once he delivered a package, then got a phone call, and the lady who lives in the house started to yell at him, saying something like "just because you're old doesn't mean you're not a scheming nazi". I felt really bad for him, but it did make my day more interesting.
