2 days later...
Alexa POV:
I was in the dance studio stretching and practising a dance for the competition in 3 months.
Am I a nervous wreck? Yes. But do I got the choreo down? Hell yes.
(I am clearly not trying to compare or compete with the 👑QUEEN👑 of dancing, let's not lie. LaLisa Manoban is The Queen of Dancing. Fight me. Also pretend there are no backup dancers.)
When I was done, I heard someone clapping, the noise coming from the door. I slowly turned around. The door opened, and... It was Lucas.
"Amazing."
"What are you doing here?? And.... How much of that dance did you see?"
"I was finding a shortcut to my house, and I heard music, so I walked in. And, I saw everything. You're amazing. You really are."
A light pink crept to my cheeks. I tried to hide it, but then he asked a question I never thought he'd say.
"Could I dance with you this one time? Please?"
Oh. My. God. Umm, umm....
"S-sure."
Wait, what did I say again?
"You said yes."
"What the shit??" He was so quiet, I thought I said something in my head. Damn. He's hot though.
"You ready?"
"Wait, what?"
"I said, are you ready?"
I stood completely still.
"Do you trust me?"
I stood there completely shocked.
"What did you say?"
"I said, do you trust me?" He held out his hand. I took it slowly.
"Yes."
Then, we danced.
At the end, he dipped me, and we almost kissed. He lifted me back up slowly. You know, for someone who doesn't seem to dance, he's pretty good at it.
"Thank you."
"Huh?"
"For the compliment. About my dancing."
Ah, shit. Did I say it out loud?
"Yes. Yes you did."
"Okay did you read my mind or something? 'Cause I didn't say shit that time." I chuckle. He chuckled back.
Lucas POV:
She's an amzing dancer for a 17 year old. Should I tell her? You know what? I might as well tell her. Better late than never.I took a deep breath and sighed.
"What's wrong? You're an amazing dancer...." She say lightly in my ear.
"The only reason I even know how t o dance is because I took dance classes when I was 10. My teacher died when I was 14." I sighed, thinking of the memories.
She hugs me from behind.
"I'm sorry."
"Could you... No, it's stupid.
"No, what is it? I wanna help."
I hesitated before I asked, "Could you teach me how to dance?"
"If you do something for me in return, I'll teach you."
"What? I'll do anything you ask me to."
She smiled cutely. She's adorable.
"I need you to be my tutor. In math. My mom said if I don't pass this test, I can't to the competition that's coming in 3 months. And that competition could determine my future in dancing."
She said that with tears. This means a lot to her. And for her, I'm willing to do anything.
"I'll do it."
"Huh?"
"I'll help you."
"We have a deal??"
I looked at her with determination in my eyes.
"Yes"
We both smile and shake hands. Then we both walk home together, since we're neighbors. She says goodnight, and.... Did she wink at me?? I'm the happiest teenager alive, and no one can say different.
"Where were you, dumbass? You're lucky both our moms aren't here on Wednesdays!!" Lia said with fury in her eyes. But I could possibly care less.
Alexa POV:
I walk into the house, when my siblings ran and were asking me about how long it took when I was at the studio, also while saying I was lucky Mom goes out on Wednesdays. But I was too happy to even notice them. All I did was walk in my room, closed the door, and did a weird happy dance. Both POV:
I fall asleep with a smile on my face and with sweet dreams. Tomorrow is gonna be amazing!!
