"congratulations Minhyuk on the promotion," Kihyun said swallowing his pride and shaking his co-worker's hand with a very forced smile on his face. Minhyuk didn't notice Kihyun's jealousy and happily shook his hand and continued to chat with some of the other co-worker's. Kihyun had the same job as Minhyuk, it was mostly collecting files and making presentations and reports on projects. In Kihyun's eyes, minhyuk did his job far worse than him, which was partly true but Kihyun forgot that he already got a promotion that same month and that they had an even salary again. But of course, he's way too blinded by his pride to think about that.
After finishing the presentation and having a coffee with a little extra sugar he was done with work. Kihyun's workdays were long, he usually was the type to take up an extra task whenever nobody wanted it. so, of course, he finished later than Minhyuk, which bothered him a lot.
as he packed his suitcase and redirected his tie a bit more loose he walked out of the office. the office itself was very modern. large glass walls with nice desks. everybody was focused on keeping their desk clean at all times. there was free coffee but you needed to get food yourself. They had lunchrooms and desks apart from each other, which made the space seem a little bigger but still very cozy. overall it was a very relaxed and nice workplace. The color palette existed out of:
( i wish I could make the images smaller )
eventually, kihyun went home, he crossed the busy street across from his workplace looking at his watch, 8:25 PM. Because he was still angry he decided to go into the city for a bit. Looking around at bars he finally found one that looked at least a bit classy. Still, in his suit, he walked inside and was greeted by the dancing people. apparently this was more of a club, but Kihyun didn't care, he wanted to drink away all of his anger.
Kihyun's POV:
"bartender, can I get some of your strongest liquor?" I asked as polite as I could despite the circumstances. That little bitch Minhyuk, who does he think he is?! stealing that promotion right from me. I noticed the bartender nodding with a sad look on his face, but I couldn't care less. I got my phone out of my pocket and quickly checked twitter and some messages. But then suddenly a figure approaching me caught my eye. I looked up seeing a woman with a tight red dress smiling at me.
at the moment I don't want a woman to flirt with me, I just wanted to drink and forget everything. "Hey handsome," she said as she sat down beside me. "hi" I replied calmly as my drink came. angrily I grabbed it and started chugging it down all at once. when I was done I simply signed the bartender for another one. "cool one aren't you" she said as she scooted closer to me. "let me get a taste of th-" but she was cut off by a voice behind me.
"hey, baby!" I heard a male voice say, good lord, I'm saved. Then suddenly I felt a warm body embrace me from behind. my eyes immediately widened as I looked at the strong arms in front of me. "wh-" but before I could answer he hushed my lips with his finger. not knowing who in the hell had the audacity to ''hush'' me was going to damn pay!
"ew" I heard the girl say before she disappeared. I could finally turn around to see who was hugging me, but before I could the person released me and sat down in front of me where the girl first sat. I could finally take a good look at him. He was for sure taller than me but not way taller, he had black hair and dark intriguing eyes. he could be a model.
as I was staring at his features I didn't notice that he was holding out a hand. "Wonho," he said happily with a smile on his face, his cheeks were slightly flushed and his breath smelled like alcohol. "Kihyun," I said as I shook his hand. the shake was so wobbly that he must be drunk.
"You know...You're very cute actually" Wonho blurted out causing a surprised expression to form on my face, but it quickly turned to an angry one. I wanted to drink, not hang out with some drunk gay guy. "thank you, now can you ple-" but he cut me off. "you don't come here often do you?" Wonho asked bluntly. I was annoyed but as I got up to leave he pulled my wrist, making me sit down again. "let me go!" I said as I pulled away from his hand harshly, but he grabbed it again and before I knew it I was holding him up. "please take me to your place...I drank too much" He said as he closed his eyes and hung onto me.
I could not believe the nerve this man had, but I couldn't bring myself to leave him here with all these drunk people, you never know what you're going to get. "Fine," I said as I angrily grabbed my suitcase, paid the bartender and walked out of the club with Wonho clinging onto me.
I walked down the street and, they were almost empty except for the traffic. people looked at me weirdly and I could understand why. then all of a sudden I felt Wonho nuzzling his head into my neck. "don't fall asleep were almost there"
