Prologue
I'm Vivi-Anne Quinn Stein, and I'm eight years old. Most people call me Vivi. I live in Canton, Ohio. I am on the dance competition team at Candy Apples Dance Center. I know I'm only on the competition team because my mom owns CADC. I am a recurring role on the show Dance Moms, and I was a regular in season one. I'm bored when I dance, but softball is a different story.
(Re: this fanfic is mostly going to be Vivi's POV if not all.)
Chapter 1
It's the first practice after nationals. It's a little lonely now that Justice's gone. Now it's just Kerisa, Taylor, Erika, and me. Finally, practice was over. I just ran on and off stage. Our dance is called Softball Star, and I'm the famous "Softball Star". In this dance, I imagine I am really a softball star. It hurts to dance because I have a passion for softball. Mom and I were in the car.
"Hey, Mom," I said.
"Hello, Vivi," she said.
"Mom, there's open softball practice at my school tomorrow," I said.
All my mom said was no. No. No hurt more than dance. Help is what I want to scream.
Chapter 2
I was at school, and it was time for PE. We played softball because of softball practice after school.
"You're incredibly good at softball," said Coach Ryan. "You should go to softball practice after school. You know I'm the coach and judge."
"Thank you, Coach Ryan, I'll ask my mom," I said.
PE was over, and it was 2:00. There was forty-five minutes left in school. We had our phonics lesson. At 2:45, I said bye to my friends. I ran to my mom's car, crying.
"Mom, please, let me go to softball practice," I cried.
"Yes, Vivi, yes!" Mom exclaimed.
There were lots of kids there. Maybe one hundred. Only fourteen kids made it. Eleven boys. Three girls. I was one of the three girls! I'm on the softball team. Now the question is dance or softball? My dad picked me up at 5:00. I told him that softball practice is Tuesdays from 3:00-4:00, and the games are every other Thursday, same time.
Chapter 3: Cathy's POV
Why did I choreograph a dance called "Softball Star" the week of softball audition at Vivi's school? Vivi guilted me into letting her on the softball team. Now Vivi's not available to dance on Tuesdays. She's a wonderful softball player, and I'm glad she made the team. It hurts me that she'd rather go to softball games than dance competitions. || More?
Chapter 4: Vivi's POV
It's been two weeks, and I've been practicing like crazy. Coach Ryan said that I was the best player on the team. I haven't been going to dance class. What do I in dance besides being a human prop? I'm an important part of the softball team.
It's the first softball game! We were about to tie with Canton Elementary School. I stepped in with one minute to spare, and we won the game! Everyone was cheering for me, even my mom. The team lifted me up. I felt good. I will quit dance and continue softball.
Chapter 5: Cathy's POV
I'm very sad that Vivi isn't coming to dance, but I'm not going to scold her. She's young and will come to her senses.
I saw that there was only one minute left, and the scores were tied. I didn't care. I wanted something bad to happen, so Vivi will be discouraged and come back to dance. Boom! Before I knew it, Vivi was the reason her school one. When the kids lifted her up, I cheered. Vivi should quit dance and continue softball. This kid had a real gift. Go Vivi!
