When you are younger life seems so simple. If you are hungry, you go to the kitchen and ask your mom for some Mac'nCheese. If you fall and get hurt, you get a bandage with your favorite character on it from your parents. Everything was simple, straight, and enjoyable. Now everything is complicated, filled with ups and downs, and depressing. You have to wonder why sometimes it seems so much harder the older you get. The answer to that continuous question is easy, the answer is one simple word. Love. Some of us have it, and some of us don't. I'm talking about that warm feeling you get when you're with that one person. Your world revolves around them, and their world revolves around you. When you have love in your life anything is possible as long as you have them. The world seems livable because of them, and things seem to get easier for you cause you can face everything knowing you always will have them. If you have this love in your life you are one lucky duck but, if you're like me you one of the most unlucky ducks. The kind of duck that doesn't get any bread at the pond in the park because all the others beat you to it or because people only threw it in the direction of the other ducks cause they look like they regularly take care of themselves. Anyway, enough of the duck analogies. The point is, without love your life sucks and is going to keep sucking unless you can find that someone that will make your life seem less sucky. This is why this year I, Hazel Fair, vow to find my cure to all life's suckiness through the rare medicine called "Love."
