Chapter 1 💋

Dear Dairy:

School has started, and I was quite excited to began my 11th year of high school. Almost done, and then college is right around the corner. Although this year started off amazing since- this guy who is the most popular in school started to talk to me. . .

Waking up at the alarm, I saw it was 6:30AM. It was the first day of school, again. . .
I have been enjoying these last few days of peaceful summer, but one can't lie that you began to miss school after a little while. I grab my phone and check out my texts, I see that the group chat woke up.
Quickly I skimmed through the text messages and saw that Mikasa wasn't gonna walk with us. And that she would be getting a ride with her cousin. Guess that leaves Eren and Armin to sit with my on the transit. I usually take the bus to school since I live in really crappy apartments far away from school. My family is very enthusiastic and friendly, but work hard just to afford a roof over our heads.

I got up and left to use the bathroom, still thinking about Mikasa. I didn't really know her cousin personally, but I've been to her place enough to know some stuff about him. Most popular boy in school, "Levi Ackerman".
He is the top stsudent, all the popular girls love him. And try to get his attention, but all fail since he is a stone cold guy. I'll be honest I have caught myself staring at him, but as if he would consider me. It would be a dream in a dream for that to ever happen, might as well just end up with my best friend. Like either Armin or Eren, or just adopt a whole bunch of cats and dogs.

I finished up with brushing my teeth as I heard my phone ring slightly. Notification from Friendbook, a new friend request from a random guy. No picture, and an unknown name as well. That was strange, I ignored it and went on to get dressed. It was almost time to take the bus, I had to hurry up. Can't miss the first day of school.

I just sat in closest seat in the front of the bus, hanging onto my bag as I listened to (Music Choice) through my phone. Blasting trough my earphones while I stared off into space. I bet this year was going to be nothing different than the last year, I hope something new happens.
The bus came to an abrupt stop as the doors opened to reveal Eren and Armin come in. I waved and then quickly sat down before the bus went off.
"So new school year!" I tried to say excitingly, but was too tired to shout.
"Yep! Too bad Mikasa couldn't join us. The posse is back together," Eren said. We all sat and chat while we waited for the bus to get to the school. Wings Of Freedom High-school- in that order.

When I first came here I was so intimidated since there were a lot of students here, who were kind of known. Like Mikasa, Levi, Hanji, Mike, Erwin. List goes on and on that I can't count that far. They are the top, they control the rest of us, make us look good I guess. People have come up to me asking about the those students.

"Thanks old man!" Eren told the bus driver who just smiled. They knew each other.
"Thank you!" Armin yelled.
"Thanks," I finally said. It was normal for us all to say thanks since he did drive us all to school. We got off and had to walk the rest of the way to the school grounds. Just the entrance is grand, nice lawn, nice fountain, cleaned walls. No graffiti anywhere. New year.

In the parking lot I saw a black car, a real nice one. And I know it is nice even though I know nothing about cars. They must be inside already since the car was empty. Eren held open the door for Armin and me, I looked up to see Mikasa standing by the gymnasium. I hushed the others and pointed at her, then when we tiptoed close enough I hugged her.
"Mikasa!" I yelled as she jumped a bit and then turned to hug each of us back. Beside her was Levi, her cousin. He looked and we caught each others eyes, staring until Eren jumped in the way with his goofy face.

For some reason I got a chill up my spine, and a feeling of impending doom fall over me. Making me a little bit nauseous, I don't know why but when I saw his eyes I felt like throwing up. Like something bad was gonna happen right there. I tried to shake it off and watched my friends talk with one another. Soon more showed up, like Sasha, Connie, Jean, Reiner, Berthholt, Annie, Marco, and the entire group just got together again. It was a good start to the school year.
There was just one thing I couldn't shake off and it was that feeling. I don't know what was going on- maybe I'm getting sick. Jean grabbed my shoulder and his face came into my peripherals, that smug smile he had on his face.
"You ladies are looking as fine as ever!" He told me and Mikasa in his attempt to flirt. I laughed awkwardly and ushered him away from me. I knew this would happen on the first day. Sasha getting mad at the venting machine, Connie teasing Eren, and horseface trying to get the touch of a woman instead of his right hand all the time.

I sighed a long and deep sigh. Then the other group got together. The more popular one that is. I glanced and saw them all huddled together talking amongst themselves. Student Council President Erwin, then there was Vice President Hanji. Levi was the enforcer, and Mike was the Secretary. They controlled the school by far. And then there were their followers, cheerleader captain Petra little ball of joy. Basketball leader Gunther, Boys Volleyball Leader Ed, and then Badminton Leader Levi-Wannabe.
They were all popular, and good at what they do. For me though I hate sports, and for that I have a slight chubby body. Mostly my thighs and stomach. Jean calls me thick though and I don't understand why.

"They are so cool," Eren said as he pointed at the group, "we gotta be like that!" I like Eren he is a motivator. Sometimes too much though. We huddled and spoke about our summers and such. Until the teachers began to speak, and told us to take a seat.

Walking in the gym it was huge, enough room for a whole city! And they had these seats so we don't have to sit on the floor. Too bad for crowding I got pushed onto a seat far away from my friends! I sat down just wanting this to be over, so I could get to my class.
"I hate this," I mumbled under my breath.
"Same here!" I heard someone say beside me. I glanced and saw Levi sitting beside me, he sat without remorse. Arms crossed his his legs also crossed. I was sitting next to the most popular boy in school, and I wasn't even trying too. I quickly looked away as my hands began to sweat, I hate my father for giving me such awful genes.

"Hey!" Levi spoke and I jumped since he leaned to the side a bit, "stop being so fucking nervous. You are starting to stink of sweat here."
"What?! Who the hell-," I said and he put out his hand.
"Hey I'm Levi," if this was his way of getting my attention it was and awful. I quickly wiped my hand and nervously shook his. So this is how an enforcer acts? I did not expect him to speak to me like that. He makes me extremely nervous, more than I should be on the first day of a new year. I can't believe he is even speaking to me though.
"What was that comment for?" I asked him, and he shrugged while keeping his eyes forward. I didn't want to pry so I kept my composure and moved on.

Levi Ackerman, most popular boy in school. Was talking to me, I don't know if I'm happy or if I'm scared. I guess I won't know until some time passes by.
For now my plan is to join the Writers club, and just get this school day over and done with.
