POKEMON The Hoenn Journey

Rough Beginning

Both Rebecca and Kevin go to the pokemon center and heal their pokemon. "that was a beautiful fight Kevin... and i say i can trust your judgement that Gwen is ready to go out into the world... Gwen i apologize... i was selfish... i just didn't want to lose my daughter to this world of chaos..." she says. "thank you Aunt Becca." i say. "thank you mom, i promise ill make you proud!" says Gwen hugging her. "well, I've kept that bag that you packed a long time ago when you said you wanted to go out on an adventure... and here you are." Becca says handing the bag to Gwen. "i just have one request..." says Becca. "of course what is it mom?" asks Gwen. "call me as much as possible?" she asks. "of course mom, i love you" says Gwen hugging her mom close. "well, then go have fun on your adventure... be safe and make sure you keep your promise." she says. "thank you mom, we have to go now, ill call you as soon as we get to odale town!" she yells to her as we are walking down the road to route 101.

Both Kevin and Gwen get to route 101. "hey Kevin? didn't you say you wanted to catch a pokemon?" asks Gwen. "yeah! i want to catch as many as i can here in the Hoenn region." i say. "well then what about that one?" asks Gwen, pointing at a pokemon emerging from the grass. "hm? what is that?" i ask. "scan it." she says chuckling. i pull out Dexter and scan it:

Wurmple The Worm Pokemon

Using the spikes on its rear end, Rumple peels the bark off trees and feeds on the sap that oozes out. This Pokemon's feet are tipped with suction pads that allow it to cling to glass without slipping.

"a wurmple... alright mudkip lets do this!" i yell sending mudkip out. "mudkip use water gun!" i yell. mudkip fires a blast of water, it hits wurmple. "very good now finish it off with a tackle!" i yell. "mudkip!" mudkip bashes into Wurmple knocking it out. "go pokeball!" i yell throwing it, the Wurmple goes into the ball, it wiggles once... twice... final time, and then clicks. "yay! i caught my first pokemon in the hoenn region!" i say. "congrats Kevin, lets get going though we might find more pokemon in the deeper part of the woods surrounding route 101." she says. "alright then lets go there." i say.

we both continued on through the woods and sure enough found a few interesting pokemon. Kevin was walking when out of no where a flying pokemon attacked him. Kevin quickly sent out Mudkip and tackled it to the ground. "alright mudkip use water gun!" i yell. mudkip releases it and then blasts it down with a water gun. "go pokeball!" i yell. the pokeball absorbs the pokemon and it begins to wiggle, once... twice... three times... and then it clicks. "yay! i caught another pokemon!" i yell. "yeah but do you even know what it is kevin?" she asks. "oh yeah... i forgot..." i say sending it out. "dexter who is that pokemon?" i ask:

Tailow the Tiny Swallow Pokemon

Taillow courageously stands its ground against foes, however strong they may be. This gutsy Pokemon will remain defiant even after a loss. On the other hand, it cries loudly if it becomes hungry.

"oh i see-" Kevin says before the Tailow attacks his face with a peck. "ow!!" i yell, in pain, as tailow tries to fly off. "return!" i call it back. the pokemon returns and goes back into the pokeball. "why'd it do that?" i say rubbing my nose. "well... you know some pokemon dont want to be caught." says Gwen. "huh? i mean i guess some of them dont... that must be the reason." i say. "yeah. i remember when me and umbreon didn't get along well." says Gwen. "what? you and umbreon didn't get along?" i ask. "oh yeah, it was a long time ago, when i would sneak out of town when i said i was playing with friends. and i came across eevee... she didn't like me at first and neither did i, so we kept our distance." she begins. i listened and tried to imagine it. "one day when i was playing with my friends i accidentally tripped and fell down a hill, and accidentally landed on eevee, of course it didn't like that and eevee used bite on me." she says. "eevee attacked you?" i ask. "yeah... eevee didn't like humans at all, apparently i learned that she was abandoned by her trainer and left on the streets, but everyone neglected her. so she thought i was one of the people who had come to be mean to her." she says. "thats awful..." i say.

"it was... but one day, a few of the town boys cornered eevee and started throwing rocks at it, it got hurt pretty bad, but when i saw this happen i felt something, that eevee was suffering, and that i needed to help, so i went into that ally way and beat up the boys who were hurting her, i then took eevee to the pokemon center, where she was treated and healed. Eevee eventually learned to trust me, and we've been pokemon and trainer ever since." Gwen says. "thats amazing... I've never heard of such a friendship as your guys's." i say. "yeah, most trainers never meet pokemon like this." she says petting Umbreon. "maybe i should try to become its friend, and maybe through time Tailow will learn to trust me." i say. "thats probably best." says Gwen smiling.

"hey you!" yells a boy from the sidelines. "want to battle?" he says. "uh, sure!" i say. "alright, it will be a 3 on 3 then!" the boy says running down the hill to us. "i was looking for wild bug pokemon when i found you trainers instead! hahaha!" he laughs. "come on out Wurmple!" he yells. Wurmple pops out of the pokeball. "in that case! c'mon out Tailow!" i yell throwing its pokeball into the air, the Tailow appears on the ground. it turns around and see's me. "tailow! i want to become friends through battling!" i say. tailow turns to me, and starts to fly but then looks away from me, it then uses gust attack on the Wurmple, and then flies over and pecks it, again and again! "hey! Tailow thats enough!" i yell. Wurmple is knocked out, but Tailow keeps attacking it. "tailow stop! return!" i yell. the beam hits tailow and it is absorbed back into the pokeball. "my wurmple!" the boy says running to it. "im so sorry! it was an accident, i didn't know my pokemon would do that." i say. "yeah whatever! get lost Trainer!" yells the boy.

Gwen and Kevin walk away from the Bug trainer and keep heading to Odale town. Once they make it there its sundown, they go to the cafeteria and get some food, once finished eating they head to their rooms and go to sleep, Kevin going to sleep feeling horrible, that his pokemon would do something like that...
