Amber POV:
I looked at Aollo getting himself ready. He packed all his stuff. I looked at my own stuff I packed which are my clothes and other stuff such as photos of us here.
"Hurry up Aollo! Ashur is waiting for us!"
"I'm almost done."
When he was done we walked out of the cabin. All these years we've been living there. I could still remember the time we came
"Mom?...Mom!?!"
I screamed alone with my siblings in our cabin, our mother never to return again.
I was barely 11 that day.
Now, we walked away from it towards the forest.
~~~~~
We came to a small opening. Ashur was there, sitting on a rock, waiting for us. He looked up.
"About time you two came."
"Yeah Aollo here took his time."
"No I did not!"
Ashur simply scoffed.
"Well come over here, I want to show you two something."
We followed him on a trail.
Ashur lately has been really distant to us. Of course he wasn't as expressive as before, but now it seems like he doesn't want to talk anymore. I was surprised when he did talk to tell us to pack and leave the cabin permanently for there's something important he wanted to show, but didn't say what.
Placing the scarf over his mouth, he then opened up some bushes to a large clearing. There were two tombstones.
With our parent's name on it.I stared in horror. "They're...they're gone." I teared as I sat down. Aollo simply fell down to his knees on disbelief. "I'm really sorry Amber." He put his hand on my shoulder.
After we gathered the strength to get up, we simply stood there, still taking it all in.
Suddenly, a shadow flew past the trees. I looked around alarmingly. Another sped through and then another. Soon enough there were many. They then showed themselves. They were people, a dozen or so, covered up in clothing except for their faces and hands, armed with swords.
"Who are you all? I exclaimed.
I heard someone sheath two swords out. It was Ashur.
He peered at us. I then realized he was one of them.
"Ashur what's going on?!?!"
"I'll tell you everything."
He breathed in, as if being ready to explain something big and long.
"Our parents...they were ninjas. Our clan target big people for the world's own good. They took out the president. We came to this forbidden forest to try to escape. We were supposed to leave after a while but we couldn't...we
were lost. But another clan managed to find them as they looked around and took them out right here."He pointed at the tombstones. "I had to bury them and placed the tombstones there."
"For these past years I've been training. Now we can leave but under one condition.
"Join us..."
"Or what?" Aollo asked nervously."Or perish." He spoke quietly.
My mind buzzed. Ninjas? The forbidden forest? What? What to do?
"I...I don't want to join." Aollo said weakly. For once he acted small.
I snapped out of my confusion. "NO! We won't" I declared, taking a stand.
"I was afraid you were going to say that...we can't have you going around about us, so we must take you out. And by that...I mean I will. Starting with you, Amber."
He then sheathed his swords and lunged at me. I rolled and dodged his attack. I went to punch him as he turned around. Quickly, he moved under and swung his foot at my feet. I fell down. Buckling over, I tried to get up. But then he grabbed me by the legs and swung me to the tree. For how he appears he sure is strong. I slammed into it, feeling great pain in my back. I slowly got up, only for Ashur to punch me in the face, bring me down. He then grabbed me up by my shirt and pointed one of his swords at my neck. Aollo was looking us in fear, too scared to try to stop him.
"Look at what you're doing, Ashur..."
He seemed reluctant. "Ashur...we're you're siblings..."
He let me go in guilt. Turning away, he simply sighed. "You're right." The other ninjas came up to him, he talked to them for a while. Me and Aollo just stood together, taking all that just happened. Wonder if we can make it out of here alive now.
After that he turned to us. "Okay, we can leave and live, but we have to have our minds erased of everything that happened. But after that we'll just be sent to an orphanage."
"What? Why didn't we do that?"
"I...I didn't want to forget everything. Even if it involves our parent's death. I was really hoping you two would join too..."
"Well, we may as well do this." Aollo said.
"Yes." I agreed.
"Fair enough." Ashur said reluctantly
The people gave us this odd medicine for this. We drank it. My eyes blurred and then I fell to the ground and blacked out.
~~~~~
"Hey guys look at these photos." My two brothers Aollo and Ashur peered over in our room in the orphanage. They were pictures of us in a cabin and in a dark forest. We then were flooded with memories. When we came to the cabin. All our time during in the forest. Ashur revealing everything. And us deciding to have our memories erased. We decided to keep it a secret from anyone, for those ninjas could be coming for us if they found out we remembered what happened.
What matters now is that we are no longer lost. We had each other and are back in the world.
THE END (for this fanfiction anyways yo).
