(Flash back)

A little boy with a sad smile and a little girl with golden hair and a special magnetism that brought them together as friends. Though they only had two months together, their friendship was one the boy could not forget. The girl soon moved to England. And this is where their story begins.

"You're leaving today? When will you return? Will I be able to see you again?"

All these questions I keep asking myself ... When will they be answered? The only time I hear them is when I'm sleeping because for some reason , I can see my past but it's never clear. Kinda like looking for the soap while taking a hot bath and where it's all steamy and foggy〜

Today, like every other day, I got in trouble in class for sleeping. I'm not the rebel kind or like some gangster. I'm more of a "I just finished work" kind of person. Yes, I do have a job. I am 17 years old, and like most teenaged guys, I work.

"Ryan !! Did you hear me? Go to the principle's office this instance !"

I hate it when my teacher yells at me after a good nap. Such a vibe killer. - -'

I walked my way out of class without saying a single word, since I despise grabbing the attention of others, and as I enter the office, a blonde haired girl ran out of the principle's office.

Normally I wouldn't care because caring is just a waste of time and energy. But the golden flash caught my eye. ~(・・?))

*knock knock*

My eyes snapped open at the annoying sound of someone knocking on the classroom door. The person gracefully waltzed her way in class looking like she was born with a silver spoon shoved in her mouth.

But that image of her fell into pieces the moment she stumbled head first in class. An involuntary laugh escaped as the whole class erupted in laughter. She recovered pretty quickly but her face was still red.

She then pretended like nothing happened as she introduced herself to the class. My mind was drifting as she was speaking. I wonder what's for lunch?

After the principle's uninspiring speech on useless stuff, he then looked at his oversized watch and suggested that I should rush to class.

When I finally found my prison cell for the year, I was trembling with anxiety. ...><... I decided to build up my courage and walked into class with my speech in mind.

As I stepped into class, I tripped on my own feet ! ( ̄ー ̄)

What a great way to start my first day of school, face-planting in front of class! T^T

I picked myself up like the dignified person that I am even though I was surely red as a tomato, and I immediately started introducing myself, ignoring what had just happened.

"Hello, my name is Maya Brooke. I hope we all become friends." ^^

I then sat in the empty seat in the front row with my back to the rest of the class. I stationned beside a girl who appears to be the same height as me. She has dark brown hair and a long pony-tail, and she probably has a bigger bust than me.

She's my first highschool neighbour, since my other classmate on my left was absent. After the sound of the bell, I rushed towards my first partner in crime.

"hey, I'm new to this school, if you hadn't notice my big entry... I kinda don't have any friends, and so I was wondering if you would like to be my first? " (*^^*)

" Oh .. my name is Shirley. Shirley Quinch. And sure, I would be happy to be your friend.", she responded with a smile on her face.

-After school-

I wonder if I'll see her today. Man... this street is so empty today. It's kinda creepy. Like if I'm the only living creature on earth.

As I sit on the swings, I noticed that today, there are kids playing at the playground. This image reminds me of one of my dreams... I guess I should go home now... there is no point in staying any longer.

Why do I keep coming here hoping for her to be here? I should have given up hope by now. But it's the only thing I can't give up on.

The memory of that perfect summer with her. The memory of my first friend... Ugh this is making me sound so depressing. (ーー;)

While I was walking, I was feeling the need to play music and I was always wondering...

Why is this girl following me again... The brown tailed girl keeps staring at me from afar. I can feel her eyes piercing through my soul!

I continued my route towards my music house. That's what I call my apartment because it's my only refuge from life and there's a piano in my room. ^^

I noticed that my stalker has stopped for today. The moment I realized that she had left her position, I began playing my piano. ♪

I first started playing at the age of 7. My father and mother taught me how to play the beautiful intrument.

Sadly they died in a car accident on my birthday. On that day, I was at the park playing with a friend. On that day, my friend also moved away.

-Morning-

Same old routine... I wonder if Brownie's gonna be there today. Like yesterday, this blondie dashed right in front of me. But this time, she tripped and face-planted right in front of me with all her books spilling all over the sidewalk.

I continued my way, but I was stopped by the sudden yelling behind me. I couldn't care less... She yelled again:

"HEEYY !! >< Could you help me pick up my books? I'm going to be late for class! "

As I walked towards the creature in need, she was thanking me in advance. I helped the blondie pick up her belongings and as I was handing them to her, she started thanking me again.

"Thanks so much! Oh, um... let me introduce myself. My name is Maya Brooke." *^^*

The books that I held dropped from my hands at the mention of her name.
