in the next part of his adventure, kevin goes on a journey through the hoenn region and meets new pokemon, battles new characters and much more. this is the third book in the series, i would suggest reading the other books:
POKEMON a new journey...
Gwen and Kevin are having a picnic with their pokemon so they can regain their strength on the way to Petalburg city. they hear someone walking through the bushes the pokemon are frightened and get ready to attack, "what if its a pokemon!?" i say getting up and putting my sandwich on my paper bag. then a familiar face walks in through the bushes. "Aaron!?" i yell. "Kevin?" he says smiling. "hows the adventure so far?" he asks. "its been really good! we stopped the poke-thief in Odale Town." i say. "wow! good job! i was actually looking for her when i heard she was caught." Aaron says. "really?" i ask.
"yeah. i actually was heading to the Petalburg Gym to talk with Norman..." he says. "really? you know the gym leader?!" i say. "yeah... i know all the gym leaders." he says. "whats Norman like?!" i ask. "well, he's always calm... theres never been a time when I have seen him worked up about anything, he's also brutally honest with his challengers." he explains. "wow! what type does he use?" i ask. "that information is classified..." he says chuckling. "awe dang... well then can we have a battle? i want you to tell me if im ready to fight Norman..." i say. "you sure?" he asks. "you know Kevin... when he has his heart set on anything he will do anything to get it." Gwen calls out from under the oak tree shoving a handful of extra cheesy goldfish into her mouth.
"alright then... maybe after i fight Kevin i can battle the famous Queen of darkness." says Aaron hinting at a challenge. "good luck..." Gwen says smiling. "alright then." says Aaron stepping back a few steps. i return all my pokemon and get them ready for battle. "ready. its a 3 v 3?" asks Aaron. "yep, sounds good to me! go Tailow!" i yell throwing out Tailow's ball. tailow emerges and lands on the ground, turning to me. "tailow can you help me out with this battle?" i ask it. it turns its head in disgust. "dang it... its not listening to me yet..." i whisper. "alright, come on out Ludicolo!" he says sending out a pokemon i haven't seen before, i pull out Dexter and scan it:

Ludicolo The Carefree Pokemon
Ludicolo begins dancing as soon as it hears cheerful, festive music. This Pokemon is said to appear when it hears the singing of children on hiking outings.
"alright then, Tailow use peck!" i yell. tailow doesn't move. "well if your pokemon isn't going to attack, then i'll attack first! alright use double slap!" yells Aaron. Ludicolo's hands begin glowing white and it dashes over to Tailow who flies into the air to evade the attack. "tailow fight back using Wing attack!" i call up to it. tailow still does nothing but fly around. "c'mon!" i yell. "ludicolo, use rain dance!" yells Aaron. clouds form in the sky and rain begins to fall, Gwen quickly gathers her pokemon under a tree, as well as all the stuff that needs to stay dry.
tailow begins to get wet. "now ludicolo, use bubble beam!" Aaron commands. "ludicoloooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!" it yells and blasts a barrage of bubbles at Tailow who dodges every one of them. "interesting pokemon you got there Kevin..." Aaron calls out. "yeah i know!" i yell. "now Tailow quickly use wing attack!" i yell at it again. tailow looks down at me for a split second and then goes back to flying around. "tailow return!" i yell. the Tailow returns to the pokeball. "im not giving up on you... not one bit..." i say to the pokemon within the ball.
