Adelaide's POV

"Addy please go make sure the Wilson's have everything!" My mom yelled from the kitchen.

"I got it ma." I yelled back.

My family owned a diner, the only one in town if I might add. Williams Kitchen was one of the most popular places to be but with barely 200 people in the town that didn't mean much.

"Y'all doin' alright?" I asked the Wilson's checking everyone's cups.

"We're doin' just fine sweetie. Don't worry bout us." Mrs. Wilson said patting my arm.

"Gotta keep our regular customers happy y'all know how ma is." I said smiling.

Ring ring

The doorbell sounded signalling someone had come in. I walked to the podium to greet them.

"Hello, how are y'all doin' today?" I asked the Kinley's.

"We're doing just fine darlin'. My nephew is staying with us so we're gonna need three chairs tonight." Mrs. Kinley said smiling at me.

"Always love a new face. I'll show y'all to your table." I giggled grabbing three menu's.

After they sat down and got their drinks the doorbell went off again and in walked a tall blonde haired boy.

"That's our nephew. Luke over here honey!" Mrs. Kinley said waving over the tall boy.

"Nice to meet you I'm Addy!" I smiled widely as the boy sat down and look at me.

Luke's POV

"Addy I'm Luke. Nice to meet you." I said smiling at the adorable girl.

"Where are you from?" Addy asked her cheeks turning slightly pink.

"Australia." I replied smirking.

Her bright green eyes and dark brown hair made her look so innocent but in a small town like this she had to be.

"Addy. Food." An older blonde woman said glaring at her.

Adelaide's POV

"Sorry ma!" I said walking off to the kitchen.

I ran the food, took orders, cleaned table, and everything else that had to be done for the next couple hours till we were officially closed.

On my walk home I decided to stop by my bestfriends house who was also my cousin. Small town life.

"Hey baby." My aunt said hugging me as she opened the door.

"My beautiful favorite aunt." I giggled hugging her.

"Addy! Hurry up! Ma stop!" Bella yelled from the top of the stairs.

I ran up the stairs and plopped down on her bed.

"So I got news! There's a new kid in town!" Bella squealed jumping up and down.

"Yeah I know. Luke he's Australian. Beautiful eyes." I said laughing at her.

"Who told you?" She pouted.

"Nobody you gossip I seen him at the diner." I rolled my eyes.

For the next few hours we just hung out Bella played around with my hair to show her newly found skills of hair.

Bella was a year older than me so while I was going into my senior year she was going into her second year of cosmetology school.
