As the moment I entered into my new college . I knew life was going to be different for me. Since i am new in the neighborhood. Moving to my grandmother's place was a mystery because I despised her.She never has time for anyone but I get to hangout with homies.
That Monday morning we were all ushered to the hall , it seems I was the only new person among them. They started chattering among themselves and I was left out . One man came up and introduced himself as our music teacher: his accent made us to giggle and I could feel he felt really embarrassed.
We were asked to go to our classes . I was confused because I was a new person but with some useless signs around the school I was ushered into the washroom which got me "upset" .I had no option than to seek for help from the principal . When leaving her office she called me back
"Young lady are you sure of your course"
I shrugged and she asked me why arts
'You see madam I have this love and affection for arts'
Her phone started to ring and she picked it up: from her tone and gestures I could tell there was trouble . I just looked at her and said "when life gives you lime or better still throw limes at you ,make lemonades out of it". She said nothing. I went straight to her set and decided to turn - her eyes were heavy
'Do you know the good thing about music' I asked .
She shook her head
'When it hits you , you feel no pain'
She smiled at me.
I excused myself and left her office.
.......... ........... .................. ..................The class was really big all eyes were set on me .
:Are you new asked the lecturer
:Yes I am
He looked like an emoji ,yeah the angry one even when he smiled at me. All the seats were occupied except one at the back. Someone had a portfolio on it and was not willing to remove or get rid of it.
From his gestures I could tell he is rude though am not a psychologist at age seventeen am old enough . We never spoke. I was itching to talk to him but am better at silence .
" nice dress he commented"
School was now over yet to witness another day
