in the next part of his adventure, kevin goes on a journey through the hoenn region and meets new pokemon, battles new characters and much more. this is the third book in the series, i would suggest reading the other books:
POKEMON a new journey...
Gwen and Kevin continue their journey on towards Rustboro City, When they hear someone say "Kevin?" i turn around and see my best friend, Gable, "hey! long time no see Gabe!" i yell to him, he runs over and we do our super secret best friend hand shake and we laugh, "what brings you to the hoenn region?" he asks. "The pokemon league here, i dont have any badges though." i laugh. "cool! same reason im here too, so what regions have you gone to?" asks Gable. "well I've gone from Kanto to Johto to here now." i explain.
"oh cool! I've gone Through Kanto, Alola and now here." he says. "whats the alola region?" i ask. "well its a region of four islands south of kanto really warm and nice there, you should go there when you get the chance. "maybe." i say. "also, i have a question..." he says. "okay ask." i say. "who's your friend, and are you willing to battle me?" says Gabe. "this is my cousin Gwen Olson, and of course, i just realized we technically didn't have a battle, so of course!" i say. "wait... THE Gwen Olson??? as in the Queen of Darkness???!!! and she's your cousin!!!" Gabe says very surprised. "yeah, she's my cousin, now how about that battle?" i say. Gabe is too busy marveling at Gwen to even notice what im saying.
"hello there! My name is Gabe! but my friends call me Gabble! its truly and honor to meet you Ms. Olson!" he says excitedly. Gwen shakes her hand, "its a pleasure, any friend of Kevin's is a friend of mine. oh and please call me Gwen." She says smiling. "of course Gwen! im going to battle your cousin now, watch me kick his trash!" Gabe says turning to me. "lets do this Kevin!" he says. "ill make sure i impress Gwen with my battling style and strategy, Its a 3 v 3." he says smiling. "then lets do this!" i say throwing out my first pokemon. Cascoon pops out of my pokeball. "alright since your using a bug type ill use my rock type! c'mon out Lunatone!" he yells throwing the pokemon out to battle. "lunatone?" i say pulling out Dexter and scanning it:

Lunatone The Meteorite Pokemon
Lunatone was discovered at a location where a meteoroid fell. As a result, some people theorize that this Pokemon came from space. However, no one has been able to prove this theory so far.
"alright lets do this! Cascoon use String shot!" i yell. "cascoon!" it yells. the string shot fires at lunatone. "dodge it!" yells Gabe. lunatone dodges the string shot. "alright lunatone use stone edge!" yells Gabe. "quick use harden!" i yell to Cascoon. cascoon uses harden and lessens the damage from the stone edge. "good job now use tackle!" i yell. cascoon hops up and bashes into lunatone. "now use string shot!" i yell. string shot goes all around Lunatone and causes it to be wrapped up. "now slam it into the ground as hard as you can!" i yell. cascoon swings lunatone around and slams it into the ground in front of Gabe.
lunatone held on. "lunatone use psychic!" he commands. "Luna!" it yells doing as commanded. the eyes glow blue and cascoon starts to float, then cascoon is slammed into the ground really hard. "cascoon are you alright?!" i call out to it. it wiggles in response meaning it's still up and running. "alright now use tackle!" i yell. Cascoon hops up and bashes lunatone into Gabe. Gabe gets up and Lunatone is unable to battle. "dang it... type advantage wasn't enough to stop Cascoon... return lunatone." says Gabe returning his pokemon. cascoon then starts to glow, "its evolving!" i say excitedly. a pokemon emerges from the area where cascoon used to be, i scan it:
